The hotel is very tired,needs a full refurbishment, regardless of this a lot of
people go year after year.
The entertainment was the hotel staff performing(say no more)but the hotels
nearby had good professional artists.
The food (plenty to choose from) and staff were great especially the reception.
Would I go again ? yes certainly.

THE HOTEL IS OK ON THE WHOLE BUT IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF SOME SERIOUS UPDATING/RENOVATING, IT IS VERY OLD FASHIONED IN MANY WAYS. I PAID FOR A DOUBLE BUT WAS GIVEN A TWIN - 99% OF THE ROOMS ARE TWIN! THE ROOM WAS DUSTY AND SMELT STRONGLY OF CIGARETTE SMOKE! COMMUNAL AREAS ARE VERY STARK AND BASIC BUT CLEAN. THE SEATING AREA/TABLES OUTSIDE THE POOLSIDE BAR WERE NOT CLEANED UNTIL MID MORNING AFTER THE PREVIOUS NIGHTS/EARLY MORNING DRINKING SESSIONS, NOT NICE!
ON A POSITIVE NOTE, THE POOL AND GARDENS ARE LOVELY WITH AMPLE SUN LOUNGERS. FOOD WAS FANTASTIC WITH A RANGE OF CHOICE TO SUIT EVERYONE. STAFF WERE ALL HELPFUL & FRIENDLY.

“ Staff all very polite, hotel kept clean, food was varied every night and of good quality. Rooms where ok but a little in need of updating.Location from Paphos harbour was a nice 20min stroll along the coastal promenade, restaurants nearby but entertainment outside of hotel was down near harbour. Overall a nice hotel, location, and with a good variety of activities available.

The Avlida Hotel is a spacious hotel situated under one kilometre from the centre of Paphos, and close to a small sandy beach, directly opposite 'The Tomb of the Kings'. This hotel combines a great All Inclusive concept, comfort and hospitality, and enjoys a delightful setting for a sun filled holiday. There are many facilities and amenities offered to tempt guests nearby, the sandy beach is just 300 metres walk away and shops, taverns and bars are all located near the hotel. Paphos harbour and the local market is only about fifteen minutes walk. To book the Avlida Hotel gives you the opportunity to enjoy the inviting Cyprus climate and local culture. Getting to the hotel: 15 km from Phaphos airport (105 km from Larnaca airport) - Local Tips: This region has a wealth of history nearby and further afield all worth exploring.
“ Externally smart and likewise the public rooms. Bedrooms were spacious, if a little short on storage, but admittedly we took a lot of clothes for the fortnight.The bath was a good size and non slip with the dual showers effective, if inclined to scauld occasionally.

This hotel comprises 283 rooms, of which 5 are suites. A lobby area awaits guests with a 24-hour reception and 4 lifts. Facilities include a cafe, a newspaper stand, a souvenir shop, a lounge area, a boutique and a hairdresser's salon. Additionally 3 bars, a TV room, a public Internet terminal and 2 air-conditioned restaurants are to be found here. Furthermore, there are room and laundry services, a car park and a garage as well as a play area for younger guests. This hotel is suitable for wheelchair users.
“ Have just returned from a 2 night break at the Aloe for my birthday. It was our third visit to this hotel and we have always found it good value for money. We booked through Travel Republic as they seemed to have the best deal for half board.

Guests are greeted in an inviting lobby featuring a reception, an attractive bar, and an elegant restaurant with a non-smoking area, where guests are able to enjoy traditional dishes. This modern hotel comprises a 2-storey main building as well as a 2-floor annexe block with a total of 244 rooms. Amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange facility, a lobby bar, a lift and a café in addition to a small supermarket, several shops, a bar, a games room, a TV room, a tavern and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with highchairs for infants. Conference rooms may be taken advantage of, as can the public Internet terminal, laundry and medical services whilst children may participate in the kids' club activities and those arriving by car may make use of the hotel car park and a garage. The modern, tastefully fitted rooms each come with an en suite bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV (with music channel), a radio, Internet access, a kitchenette, a minibar/ fridge, tiling, a sitting area and a hire safe. Selected rooms with views out over the sea may be booked.
“ We checked this hotel's review on good old trip advisor, and it had very good reviews. So we booked and stayed here. We found Kefalos Beach Tourist Village excellent... Large comfortable apartments, ours looked out to sea, this cost an extra £40.
