“ The reception staff were not particularly helpful or interested in making the stay enjoyable; rather old-fashioned & distant. Hotel was expensive but a little rundown. It was necessary to pay extra for WiFi, internet use, pool towels, games etc.

The position of the hotel in the village is very good. The main areas of the hotel are very good, swimming pool and surrounding areas are well cared for and staff are very friendly ......... but the rooms are very 'tired'. Bathrooms are in need of refurbishment. Have stayed at Pendeli in 2001, 2005 and then this year and the rooms have not changed at all so an update would be good - mirror on wardrobe door had large crack in it. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room this time which was really missed as it cost a small fortune to have drinks served in the bar.
Not many tourists in Platres presumably due to the economic climate everywhere. It's a fantastic area in the Troodos mountains and we enjoyed wonderful scenery and walks. More marketing needed for Platres, resulting in more visitors and more money for the hotel owner to spend on refurbishment!
“ Top Tip: The Artemis Trail which is the circular walk around Olympus at the top of the mountain. Views are fantastic and the walk is not too long - 7K and on the flat which makes it even more enjoyable for most people!
