“ Rooms very clean and tidy. Food options opposite. Decent value for money for the two nights we had. We would have preferred free wifi as we enjoyed on all accommodation in Cyprus prior to staying at Alkionest.

Hotel a little tired in places but immaculate. Free upgrade to 1-bed room.
Staff supportive but not intrusive. Although 60% full did not feel overcrowded - whenever we went to the pool 99% of the time we had it to ourselves.
If you are looking for a quiet break this would be a good choice hotel - good value and well located.
Only negative aspect is the key fob which is used to power electricity; when you leave it stops (particularly annoying re Fridge, so unsuitable for people with young children).

Top Tip:
There is a tavern on the left hand side of the road (towards Latchi) about 150 yards from hotel (turn right on leaving reception). Take away spit roast chicken & potatoes fantastic!
The BBQ boat trip - my partner hates boats and after much coaxing managed to get him to join me - he loved it. Lovely swimming in the clear water Akamas inlets and delicious BBQ on board.

Hotel apartments very nice and comfortable, approximately 10/15 mins to beach (walking). Owners and staff at Hotel very helpful and friendly.
Only one problem, if you are older, there is no lift in the apartments and I found it very difficult getting my suitcase up the stairs to my apartment and I was on the first floor. There is no way I could of managed to take the suitcase up to the 2nd floor, just too much and nobody there to take the suitcase up for me.
“ Top Tip: The best restaurant I found was in Polis, about a 10 minute walk. It was called Finikas, superb food and very friendly service.

Although the hotel's exterior looked a little in need of a coat of paint the entrance and foyer was clean and pleasant.
The staff were pleasant and friendly.
The rooms were clean, but very basic. The facilities were dated but adequate. The bed was very uncomfortable and in need of a new matress. The bathroom needed some tlc and the shower had seen better days. Towels well worn and hard.
The sheets were clean and room service was good.
The location of the hotel was good as it was on a main road surrounded by shops and a bakery

The bakery over the road was very good.
The area was very downtrodden and untidy.

The hotel was clean - but very tired looking. Nothing like the promotional literature produced by the hotel - either on their website or the brochure which I picked up from reception. The whole place could do with a major re-fit.
I could not comment on the food as we did not opt for the breakfast option.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Air con system was old and virtually ineffective.
I think the motto here is that if it sounds cheap - it probably is for a very good reason...
“ Top Tip: The Mystery Taverna just down the road towards Polis centre is an absolute must. Fantastic food from a friendly family run restaurant. Go for the BBQ menu!!
