“ What a shame this rustic hotel is to be gutted and changed to a health spa. It must have one of the best views on the island and set in a lovely village with a beautiful marina. I hope all the staff are kept on. I would have returned but not to a health farm.

“ My husband and I stayed at the Elia Latchi on a self catering basis, but they do all types of board up to and including All Inclusive. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had a beautiful view from the balcony over the village and the bay to the Akamas.

“ Latchi beach was great, although some people may prefer sand to a mixture of sand and shingle. The sea was beautifully warm and crystal clear and lovely sunbeds and parasols made it a beautiful setting. The beach bar on Latchi beach sells a good range of food and drinks and provides a great chillout area in a pretty setting. The hotel gardens were very pretty and the quiet pool was stunningly pretty with fruit trees and flowers, a lovely lawn and a pool bar. Our room has a gorgeous outlook onto the main pool set in a lovely lawned area with again more fruit trees however, this pool was noisy and played loud high tempo music from about 5pm until midnight, which I found annoying, particularly during early evening when I wanted to relax on the terrace with a glass of wine. We stayed on a room only basis, which I'm very glad about as the food was unappetising and everything was bathed in layers of grease. Both my husband and I are not fussy eaters but the selection was poor and if we had been on an all-inclusive basis then we would have been very disappointed. The hotel was in pretty surroundings but that would not be enough for me to rebook this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Elia Latchi on a self catering basis, but they do all types of board up to and including All Inclusive. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had a beautiful view from the balcony over the village and the bay to the Akamas. The catering facilities are very basic - ie a fridge, 2 electric rings, 1 saucepan 1 frying pan, a kettle and we had to ask for a toaster (we were not charged for this). There was enough crockery and cutlery for 3 people. But to be honest that is all we need as we like to visit the restaurants on the harbour front. The accommodation consists of a living room & kitchenette with a good sized balcony that has a plastic table and 4 chairs. A tv is provided but has very basic channels - the only English one being BBC World. It has a bedroom with 2 large single beds, and plenty of storage space - although there weren't many hangers but I tend to take a lot of my own anyway, and a bathroom with bath but no plug; an overhead shower is powerful but the plastic curtain is not to my liking. Both living room and bedroom have air-conditioning units if needed.
The complex has it's own restaurant but we did not visit this. It is set in extensive grounds with beautifully kept gardens but is built on a very steep slope so you really need to be fit to get around! There are 2 pools (one for children that isn't too deep) with plenty of sunbeds for all to enjoy. There is also evening entertainment put on but we did not go to this - although we could hear it and I have to say Agadoo got a bit tedious after the first few nights! But it did all sound like fun.
The complex also has many other attractions such as a Spa, crazy golf, football pitch and tennis courts. It also has a small supermarket but I cannot comment on any of these as we didn't use them.
Everywhere was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Elia Latchi is well placed for the village shops, harbour restaurants and the large sandy/pebbly beach. You get a discount on the beach sunbeds and umbrellas (for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella it cost us 4 euro 50 instead of 7 euro 50) if you show your Elia Latchi card.
“ Top Tip: Our favourite restaurants on the harbour front are The Sea Fare and Nicandros - both serve delicious food and the owners and staff are very welcoming.

“
Very disappointed when we arrived at the hotel. It had been overbooked and we had to stay in different accommodation for the first two nights of our holiday.
This seemed to be an on going problem as throughout our stay, people were having to spend time in other hotels nearby.
Elia Latchi was overall good value for money.
The staff and animation team worked very hard and were very friendly.
Food was fine, although very repetitive and by the end of our stay we couldn't face much more of it.
Rooms were clean but tired.
Overall, we had a good time.
