Firstly the good - staff very friendly. Excellent beach/cove which is pretty much private to the hotel. Food is very good with big choice. Pool and rooms very good quality. If you want peace and quiet then this hotel is well placed, about 1/2 mile north of any 'action' and positioned well off the road
Secondly the bad - The reception management team need a big lesson in customer service - I saw several couples avoiding walking past reception so that they didn't have to engage in any conversation with them - how sad ! Also, it's corteous to welcome you when you first arrive and not talk/bellow at you. Also the hotel is good walk from any restauarants etc if you want to get out and see the nearby surroundings / town.
NB I have put many positive comments on Travel Republic about many hotels - this is the worst I've ever written - what a shame.

Top Tip:
In my view, I'd stay somewhere else
If you've alread booked, then don't stand for any grumpiness and remind the management that you are the customer and should be treated as such. This is a hotel, not a military camp.

“ Had a 3 day stay here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Accommodation good, staff very friendly and hlpful, food for Buffet meals was more than adequate with several options to suit all tastes. Only slight negative is it is a way out of Penera, although there is an exceelent buse service from direct outside the Hotel which is cheap and reliable. Perhaps younger guests woulod prefer something more central, but we were more than happy with the location.

“ Dont know how it gets to no2 on trip advisor hotel rooms are small, bathrooms look tired, looks dated outside especially round the pool area my daughter and a few other children cut their toes on raised tiles around it,its like they've done a cheap temporary makeover. I think its a very clean hotel and the staff are friendly and very effiecient enjoyed our stay but would not recommend it or return.

We travlled as a couple (45 yrs). The hotel for us was perfect as we wnated to just chill out for a weel. The room was nice, very clean and the view really clinched it. We overlooked the pool and had a lovely sea view. We stayed A/I and the food was really good. There was always a good selection at all times. The only critcism was that lunch and dinner were waitress service for drinks and you had to wait quite a lonh time sometimes for drinks to arrive. The locality for us was great as the hotel is away from the main resort of Protarus which is awful, unless you like travelling abroad to feel like you are in Blackpool.
Overall as a couple travelling to have a reaxing break this hotel was absolutely erfect and we would definitely return, in fact we are thinking of booking again. The main critcism of the hotel by guests seemed to be the entertainment, which was quite quite frankly terrible, by far the worst we have ever experienced on a holiday abroad. The young hungarian lady who looked after the hildren was great but the entertainment geared towards adults was apalling and finished far too early. In our case the other strong points meant we would still return but with very little effort this hotel could improve so significantly it seems a shame not to make the effort to do iy.
