“ nice clean hotel, was asked for a 4000czc deposit on arrival at hotel , was not told about this before and was quite concerned , this is apparantly the norm for hotels in prague ?? dvd player in room didnt work , some of the staff very nice , some with little or no manners , on the whole good value , wont get better for money , not the best 4 star ive stayed at though .

I have just returned from my stay at Hotel Angelo and cant praise this hotel enough. After trawling the internet for various hotel reviews this hotel kept coming out top marks so decided to go with it.
The hotel itself is immaculate, the room and bathroom was spotless, the bed was the biggest i have ever seen and it was probably the comfiest! We were on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice, my only complaint would be the size of the cereal bowls! they were tiny and its all i can really stomach in the morning!! but that is a very minor detail!
The hotel is located in Andel in Praha 5, i have to say we preferred this area to the centre, some really nice restaurants and funky bars 5 minuted walk away and the prices were brillant in comparison to those in the centre of Prague. The prices vary dramitacally - in the centre expect to pay approx £4 for a pint - in Andel expect to pay pound a pint!
So to end my review i would say if you are thinking of booking Hotel Angelo do it you wont be disapointed, the staff were very friendly and couldnt have been more helpful.

Top Tip:
My reccomendations would be a restaurant/coffee shop/ bar called Lupe Fiasco - delicious steaks for not even £10 and highly recomend Beef Stroganoff! Was sorry we only discovered this place on our last night :(
Bar i would recommend was Back Doors - also in Andel near the hotel, they have the biggest selection of cocktails i have ever seen - average price being £3.50, nice atmosphere and good music.

Located in the centre of Prague, only few minutes from Wenceslas Square, the Congress Centre and the national Museum, the hotel is close to the main tourist attractions. At the ground floor of the building, the restaurant offers to the guests a big buffet breakfast. The hotel provides also laundry service. Hotel is suitable for those who look for the accommodation in a smaller hotel with the friendly and family atmosphere in the walking distance of the city centre of Prague, for all people who love shopping, culture and nightlife.

The Expo Hotel is located in the immediate proximity of the city centre close to the area of Prague Exhibition Grounds. Not far from the hotel there is the biggest Prague Park Stromovka, suitable for hiking and jogging. The city centre can be reached by metro from the station Nadra i Holeovice or by tram. The hotel features rooms which are spacious and equipped in modern way. Each room has a bathroom with a tub, satellite TV, direct dial phone, minibar and safe.
“ I stayed for 3 nights and thought it was a very nice hotel, the breakfast was great. Our room was very clean and both the day & night staff were very helpful. Although not in the centre of Prague it was very close to the tram stop and only 10 minutes from Charles Bridge and other sites.
