Located in Old Town, the Best Western Hotel Páv offers easy and fast access to the historical parts of Prague and its most prominent landmarks. Both Charles Bridge and Old Town Square are within 10 minutes walking distance. The National Theatre and Žofín Palace, the leading center of cultural and social life in Prague since 1837, are just 2 minutes from the hotel. Our Best Western Hotel Páv was completely renovated in March 2007. All 89 of our spacious and elegantly furnished rooms have a safe, strongbox, LCD TV, and free WiFi Internet access. Our hotel is in the immediate vicinity of the U FLEKŮ brewery, with a tradition that goes back to 1499. The Národní třída metro station – line B – is just a couple of steps from the hotel, as is the tram stop with the same name, where lines 6, 9, 18, and 21 run. Tram number 22 goes directly to Prague Castle.

“ We found the hotel very nice very clean and not too far away from the tram, under ground and within walking distance of wenseslas square , old town and charles bridge.
“ Top Tip: we found a cheap bar call Bernard which was left outside the hotel door first right down to the bottom of this street and left the bar is on the right also there is a cuban bar down this street. These bars have chez people in so are not quite full of tourist like myself

Excellent location about 10-15 mins from Charles Bridge. Breakfast included and served until 10.30 am which is a bonus and quite adequate. Lots of lovely little bars all around, open all hours and very cheap.
On the dowside smoking is not banned in the bars in Prague and it was not nice being back in smokey bars if they didn't have a non smoking room. It was nice to find alot of restaurants had outside heating which solved this problem.
Overall Prague is a lovely romantic city - lots to do and can be done quite cheaply if you move away from Charles Bridge but if, like me, you love it - you won't want to ! Enjoy !

Top Tip:
Ask for tea making facilities and they will be delivered to your room next morning and not taken away until you leave, free of charge.
Didn't rate the Brewery next door thought they were after as much money as they could get from you - the drinks being offered on a tray appeared to be free - "its tradition" but you have to pay for them - even so the beer was good - the smoke not ! Also Prague has a big problem with graffiti which is totally spoiling the city. Never took a handbag out with me so didn't have any problems with pick pockets. To be honest never felt threatened or worried at all.
Trips - the Castle an all day trip out, the Prague Zoo was amazing spent the whole day there, the Bone Chapel - spooky and the Old Square lovely enjoyed looking to see where the sun and moon were and the couples who got married and came out to the crowd waiting for the clock to do its thing (I won't spoil the surprise!) and finally . . . Charles Bridge . . . loved it didn't want to leave and had to walk over it every day - amazing.

“ The pillows in particular were very uncomfortable as were the beds. Apart from this the hotel was good. Breakfast was particularly good.
“ Top Tip: Pub right next door is very good, lovely food. for which there is an initial 10 per cent discount if you stay at the Best Western Pav.
