“ This hotel is rated as 5 star, that it definitely not! They advertise a casino, jacuzzi and a paino bar...........with no pianist-for that matter we saw very few people in there at any time-it had none of the above! It gives a good breakfast and is ideally placed for the traditional Prague sites and looks over the river

Below average for a 5 star hotel
This was definitely not a 5 star hotel and is not worth the rates charged. Although clean, there were a variety of things which detracted from the quality and I find it hard to understand why this hotel has been rated 5 stars.
Bathroom toiletries- hopeless inadequate amount and of very poor quality- not like the various 5 star hotels I have stayed in
Breakfast- hot buffet items very limited to scrambled eggs, fried eggs, bacon and some kind of rubbery sausage- no grilled tomatoes, beans, hash browns etc- items that I have always found provided in buffet breakfasts in 3 or 4 star hotels
Service- bar- poor quality- staff know little English and misunderstood alot of requests
Advertised things that they could not provide- e.g. Chrsitmas special was a hot drink and Christmas cookies- despite asking several times for the cookies I am still waiting to receive them!
Service- restaurant at Breakfast- I requested another pot of coffee since it was stale and lukewarm- waitress asked me why- took of the lid, told me it was still warm etc- instead of just providing me with another pot of coffee
Not 5 star service at all
Hotel not value for money- too expemsive for the product offered.

This is a well located hotel, only a short walk (8 mins) to the main Old Town Square area.
It is well presented, good views over the river or the castle, very clean. They make an excellent hot chocolate in the Piano Bar which is a must before collapsing back in your room after a days sightseeing.
The only negative I can possibly think of was we had a kingsize bed, but had individual "duvet/bedding" rather than one to cover the whole bed - quite weird (though my other half seemed to quite like it)!
“ Top Tip: Old Town Square and Charles Bridge are both less than a 10 minute walk away.

“ Cleaniness, staff and room could not be faulted but there was a distinct lack of staff and atmosphere at dinner. On two evenings the hotel bar and dining room was served by just one waiter making service very slow, also the menu was the same each evening and had limited choice.

“ The location of this hotel is superb, the staff are friendly and very helpful, it's kept very clean and the food is good too. We had a really enjoyable stay. The only down side was that the main restaurant at breakfast during the weekend was extremely busy so the upstairs restaurant had to be utilised and the service here was slow and the food not quite the same as in the main breakfast room.
