hotel was very clean and very short walk to all sights, very friendly and obliging staff.
If you are a smoker there are smoking rooms but you have to ask on arrival they do not offer the choice.
food and drink outside of the main attractions is much cheaper, a 1 minute walk around the corner can save you ££'s
well worth a visit

We stayed here when it was the "the Renaissance" and remember it fondly. The great location within walking distance of most of the sights are its main attraction.
Generally the hotel is OK, the rooms are fine, beds are very comfortable and the hotel is clean.
We stayed 3 nights and on one day the room was not done. We got back late having had a good soaking in the rain. All we wanted was a shower and get to bed. The towels were still wet from the morning. These things happen i know but should not in a 5 star hotel.
Reported it the next day at reception and the girl said she would look into it but I never heard any more.
Another little winge is the internet or the lack of it. Nearly every bar or cafe has free Wi Fi these days but not this hotel. I see that they are putting it in public areas from Jan. 2012. Fine but get in in tomorrow, its not that hard to do. By the way the nearest free Wi Fi I found was outside the CSA office next to the hotel.
The health club is out off action at the moment but there is one you can use just across the road. This is fine, excellent pool, sauna, steam room and gym and very easy to use.

“ We had stayed at this hotel 3 times previously when it was a Marriott hotel. It has undergone an excellent refurbishment by Hilton. Unfortunately the pool was not available due to renovation but we had been told about this prior to our arrival. This hotel is ideal as it is only a few minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and has the metro and trams right on the doorstep. The rooms are spotless with clean towels daily and good quality Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. The majority of tourists in the hotel were older people (from all over the world) on coach tours, so the hotel was nice and quiet. Employees all speak good English as do most people in the restaurants, shops etc. The buffet breakfast is amazing with everything you can think of that you may want to eat for breakfast! There are lots of good restaurants within a few minutes walk serving delicious food. This is the first time we have used Travel Republic and were pleasantly surprised and we will certainly use them in the future.
“ Top Tip: Take a trip to Prague Zoo - well worth a visit with lots to see and only cost £12ish for 2 adults. Lots of excellent restaurants close by eg. Les Moules, La Gare and Lary Fary, plus more up by the castle. Lots of very expensive designer clothes shops if you have the money and a new shopping mall with the usual type of stores we have in the UK.
