“ Convenientley situated only a few mins walk to Wencelas Square & Old Town. Our room was very spacious, to be fair we were given a triple room with a queen size (very comfortable) bed on the 4th floor with a magnificent view of the Old Town Hall & the castle in the distance. The rooom was very warm & cosy & the heated towel rail in the bathroom made all the difference. Breakfast was over 3hours between 7 and 10 am, so there were only a few people in the dining room at any one time. Plenty variety, continental & Hot. (Scrambled, boiled eggs & beans & sausage), Very clean & friendly hotel which we couldnt fault.
“ Top Tip: all the restaurants we ate in were very nice, but the Novomestsky Pivovar brewery/restaurant is worth a visit ,just a street away.

The hotel was clean with a lovely large room. Not your usual Travelodge box. It would have slept three comfortably. Reception staff were helpful although not brilliant English (but then I can't speak Czech). The breakfast was standard central European affair with cereals, toast (very slow toaster) yoghurt, fruit, cold meat and scrambled egg. Self service between 7-10am. Certainly enough to keep you going through till afternoon. If I were going to be really picky I'd have to say the shower cubicle was tiny; bend over to pick up the shampoo and you either turn the water off or scald yourself with a full hot blast. Over 17 stone and you stand very little chance of washing yourself in there.
The area of the hotel was not particularly salubrious but it was generally quiet and about 5-10 mins from Wenceslas Square. We felt safe walking around there even in the early hours, (pity the same couldn't be said about London). A good base for an exploration of Prague.

Top Tip:
Around the side streets, some great little second hand shops and also some atmospheric bars that don't charge the top rates for wine and beer like they can around the centre.
100 crowns (about £3.50) is a bargain for metro, tram and bus travel for 24hrs. There are three underground lines A, B & C, with line changing at 'Muzeum' and 'Mustek' for example. Once you get used to the quirky signs it is very straightforward.
