Ascot Hotel

“ Bedrooms need refurbishing, carpets from the 70's. Breakfast good, reception staff friendly and professional. central located near T gardens ect. Would class this hotel as 3 star plus. Not 4.

“ Top Tip: Nice Pub close by called "The English Pub" (near t Gardens on opposite side).

“ Very clean hotel, welcomed upon arrival by receptionists (spoke very clear english).
Dissapointed with the fact that it was called a spa hotel, yet no swimming pool just (beauty treatments) which were at an extra cost. We requested a double bed, which was 2 singles with a double sheet, this was not a problem really as the beds were still comfy but then we had 2 single duvets and square almost sofa cushions as pillows. The bathroom was clean and had a hairdryer which was a plus. however the shower was poor, very small triangle to stand in up against the shower curtain, no room in it at all. There was no tea or coffee in the rooms either, which i would expect in a 4* hotel. Breakfast was basic and scandinavian, just not to our taste.

“ Top Tip: 15 minutes walk from the metro station, close to the main shopping strip which is opposite. 5 minute walk down the road to tivoli gardens, which opens in April so we couldnt see this.

“ The standard room was very small, dark, and unwelcoming. We were staying for 5 nights. We asked to be moved and were accommodated in a still small room but much better appointed. So very good value for an expensive capital city on current exchange rates. Staff were most helpful, free wifi in rooms and free in a dedicated space with a printer, good for checking in online to flights etc. Breakfast excellent, access to cups and hot water at all times.
