“ Hotel was lovely, but i dont think a 5*. having said this we had a fantastic time. Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily although i dont think thoroughly enough.(got a bit dusty)bed was massive and very comfy. lots of tv channels.you get free shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. hairdryer and iron provided so dont take them. All the restaurants were nice and you didnt have to book, altho sometimes the food was not always that hot. Seaside grill was our favourite, big fillet steaks.the Jungle restaurant was traditional domincan and did a good goat stew. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. All the staff were amazing and were always friendly. Hotel had own private beach with lovely clear blue waters. However the higher up on the beach you got it was manmade and definately needs more sand as you can feel the concrete underneath.the beach got quite busy too and lots of activities going on, if you want peace you need to walk further up to the left. Not much to do at night apart from chill, or watch the shows (we didnt do) so it was very relaxing. We went to the disco a few nights which closed at 2 and varied in the music. all types of alcohol on offer (you have to ask for branded though). Room service 24hrs... we had bubbly to our room a few times. Spa was amazing with one of the best massages ive ever had although quite pricey at $80. Overall, I would return but only if got a good deal. Dominican was lovely and would definately return. Take Dollars for tips and buying stuff. we got told to take Pesos but got ripped off a few times when they do the exchange rate as everything is priced in dollars. Also try and fly into La Romana as From Punta Cana it was quite a journey, esp after the long flight. there was a mixture of all ages and quite a few kids so if you want more of a couples paradise holiday this hotel isnt for you.

Top Tip:
One afternoon we walked up the beach to bayahibe (10 mins) we watched sunset at a little restaurant (shack) called Restaurant laidy and had lobster and calamari, not mega cheap but was very very good and nice to get out of resort for a bit.
If you go to a meeting (about 2 hrs) with the unlimited people, its like a presentation and they try and sell you a timeshare kind of thing for the chain of hotels, you get a free gift. Ask for a spa voucher. It was worth it.
Dont go on a tour with Gri Gri divers. better to go with hotel reps paying that bit extra. Our day trip was ok but they crammed alot into a few hours and we didnt feel we could relax. was over priced too.
