“ I have stayed at this hotel before and was really looking forward to returning. The staff are wonderful. Always smiling and very quick to help. The main buffet had plenty of choice and had various theme nights during the week. The steak and chicken are great. The other restaurants are ok. Not amazing and the service is slow. The beach was great, plenty of sun-beds. If you wanted to relax you could although there were plenty of activities. We had champagne in our room and a dvd one evening as the children were tired ( all this is included). The only things that spoilt this hotel are: 1. the time share reps who are everywhere!! ( yes they are polite, but being hassled at every meal or when in reception, became annoying). We did go to the meeting which was 2hrs not 1.5 and got our gift. 2: the stalls which sell local crafts were placed before the beach so you had to walk out of your way everytime you wanted to get a drink/toilet/go to room/talk to friends to avoid being harassed. They also put them by the show area so you had to walk through to get to the show. My Husband wasn't bothered at all as he just said 'no! " but i don't like to seem rude. They were expensive $200 for a platter dish. The entertainment team work hard, and the dancers and circus act were fab! On the Saturday evening we chose to eat really early as their was a conference on and it was packed. The usual quite lunch that day had become a cattle market of people pushing and shoving. The line to eat was huge. This was only a 2 day event but spoilt those two days. The musicians in the bar area are great and its a nice place to drink cocktails etc. Our rooms were spotless and had everything you need. I can't fault the holiday in many areas, it just seams that they are trying to recoup as much income as possible by sub- letting their rooms which did affect our experience.
“ Top Tip: The Italian and Seaside grill were great.

We were a little unsure about booking this hotel blond through Travel Republic, but were delighted with it! Event the private transfer we booked with them was perfect.
HOTEL
The hotel is situated on its own, with not much nearby. I would rate the hotel as a 3 1/2 star(if the Ritz is a 5), not quite a 4 but excellent. I stayed at the Secrets Excellence last year, which cost me twice as much, and was a 4 star, and this was not far behind. The hotel is spotlessly clean, has 2 excellent pools and a fantastic palm tree lined beach. THe sea is perfectly clear and very warm. Pack a snorkel and mask, there is a reef 25 metres out full of tropical fish.
The room was large, basic but clean - the maid moves all the furniture and mops out all the room - and mine was 20 metres from the beach wit a sea view.
FOOD
The food in the buffet was great, as long as you were willing to try someting a bit different. If you are a fussy eater I suppose you could get bored, but I ate there 8 evenings out of the 14 and had someting different every time. Lunch can be taken here, or on the beach, and was also excellent. Breakfast was buffet syle too, with everything from french pastries to a full english - no baked beans though!
The 4 A-la-carte restaurants were good, especially the seaside grill.
ENTERTAINMENT
There was plenty to do on the beach and pool, with a couple of games every half hour. There is a kids club for small kids, and teenagers games through the day.
There is a dance based show every night, which will keep you occupied for an hour. The disco seemed popular but we never went.
OVERALL
Great value for money. Put it this way, we are looking to book for next year.
“ Top Tip: Pack a snorkel and mask, there is a reef 25 metres out full of tropical fish. I filled a water bottle with bread and water and used this to attract the fish within 2 inches of me! Go on the Gri-gri divers excursions - great value, and as good as Thomsons trips.
