“ Great Hotel, loads to do at beach during the day. Beach lovely, has 3 great pools. Does bottles of water at all the bars which is really handy. Rooms really big. Staff all very friendly. Not lot of English speaking when I was there, not sure if that is normal.

On arrival we were allocated a room which definitely was not of a quality associated with a five star rating, we immediately contacted reception and was duly given an upgraded room which was very satisfactory.On day three whilst on the beach sunbathing we decided to go for lunch, on getting up from the sunbed, the wooden beach parasol collapsed onto the sunbed just missing my partner, fortunately nobody was injured but it was a great shock when it came crashing down. We reported this immediately to reception and was told that the management would be in touch very soon. Seven days later nobody had been in contact so we reported the matter again, the response then was almost immediate, although we still never received an explanation as to why this happened.
The food at the Occidental buffet was ok, and the staff very friendly although they didn't all speak english.
The pools were ok and the beach area was tidy but probably needs more beds.
The entertainment on the beach and around the main pool was really loud
and the entertainment at night tended to very much the same every night.

I have read poor reviews of this hotel, but I believe they sre wrong. Whilst the hotel is not to the 5 star spleandour it once was, it is certainly excellent value for money. The staff were exceedingly friendly and looked after me well, the entertainent was superb and easily the best of this type I have seen.
If you are looking for UK 5 star quality, then you would be dissapointed, but if like me you recognise the realtive cost of your stay compared to newer resorts you will be very pleased with this hotel.
“ Top Tip: There are shops bars and restaurants just outside the resort gates, certainly much cheaper than the shops/stalls in the resort complex itself.

“ This hotel is a really nice hotel but it is not a 5 star hotel.The rooms are dated,if you are a young couple and are looking for good night life options this is NOT the hotel to choose!There is a club on the grounds but its only good on fri/sat and drinks are exspensive.
