“ Top Tip: The hotel runs its own free ferry so dont be fooled by local taxis who may drop you to another ferry service which charges on trips to the island

“ We were upgraded to a suite on check in. This was a very comfortable two storey terraced ground floor room that had double doors which opened out to the River Nile and overlooking the Botanical Gardens which a lit up in different colours at night time.
“
Top Tip:
Set on an Island and a very short ferry shuttle to the hotel, it has more privacy and less hassle from people selling or begging. But you still get the hotel staff offering you all the extras that is at the Hotel.
At the hotel entrance, take a Feluca boat ride for an hour or so.
The hotel restaurant/bar, at the top is worth going to just for the views alone. The food is very medeocre though.

“ Hotel was good overall. Pool was crowded - hard to get a sun lounger and one day we had to go on the floor. The pool staff are constantly after tips. Food at the pool was poor although the breakfast selection was good. The location is excellent and quiet and the boat across to the centre of town runs all day/night and takes 2 minutes so is very convenient.
“ Top Tip: Get a felluca and sail around Elephantine island - the highlight of our trip to Egypt.
