Coral Sun Beach Resort

“ first you will need to pay for visa's £13 each at the airport. The hotel is 1 hour drive from Hurgarda airport but it is a good road. this hotel looks topnotch from the front and in the reception area. The room we first were given at the back of the hotel by the children's pool was large but on inspection i found the marble hand wash basin surround was smashed on the floor. The bell boy immediately showed use a room 3 doors along. This room was in one piece with a flat screen tv fridge and kettle witch all worked. As it was 8 in the evening we went straight to the restorant for evening meal. The dinning room is well set out and we found the food good but not exceptional. After dinner we found the entertainment was just a laptop connected to a speaker outside our room. Banging out modern music this went of at 10-15 when the door opens to the disco. The next morning we opened the bathroom door to find the room flooded with water coming up the drain in the shower. This was reported to the reception and we went for breakfast
The breakfast is continental - but the chef did fried eggs or omelets to order and there is a toaster to use. the bathroom was still flooded after breakfast so i grabed one of the staff and he used his mobile to ring the maintenance man he was there in a flash half an hour later it had been fixed. The hotel supply beach towels and they are good quality the beach is good with sunbeds and shades.
Some are a little old but still comfy with mattresses. the access to the sea is round the beach between the two hotel's but straight of the beach not a jetty.
overall we had a very niece relaxing stay and would go back if cheap.

“ Cant fault the hotel everything was excellent the food, staff,and management. My husband and i enjoyed every minute. Would recommend to friends, a nice relaxing holiday just what we went for.

“ We really enjoyed the setting as we are divers and have had quite a few Egyptian holidays and this was one of the best. You will not get restaurants, nightlife, variety (within walking distance) or even much English company. You will get good food peace and quiet and an exceptional bay and reefs with a very good Dive Club on site. The all inclusive was a good option and our excursions involved diving in Safaga ,the nearest town 22km away, and nearby reefs. The Hotel has mostly German guests but we were looked after very well by all the staff and they did everything they could for us. The rooms were very good all with sea views and better than average facilities. The Bay and reefs are the attraction and if you do not swim and want a hectic night life it could well not be the place for you otherwise first class. Do have a sports massage at the Coral sea if you can best value in Egypt. A word of warning no cash point for many miles so take plenty of currency and go all inclusive.

“ The hotel is fairly new . We had paid for a superior room with sea view . The room was very spacious and well appointed , all the fittings were in good order including the room safe deposit box which did not incur a charge , the room was kept spotlessly clean and towels were changed daily , the bed linen was changed frequently during our two week stay . The hotel general areas including the beach front / dining area / pool / lounge etc were kept spotless. We stayed on the all inclusive package , the food at every meal we found to be excellent and service first class . The bar was a little limited serving only local beer/wine / spirits etc and is generally served by two waiters who were willing but you could find yourself sometimes waiting longer than you would like , trying to get serverd at the bar yourself was difficult .
Be aware that the hotel mainly caters for German/ Italian / Russian guests and very few of the staff speak any English but we found this not to be a huge difficulty / generally the staff were very polite and helpful .
Be aware that the hotel is very remote and it is difficult to arrange any travel outside of the hotel complex . Hurghada is approx an hour and a bit and is only available by bus or taxi at limited times and the bus costs 10 euros . If you want shops / bars / restaurants etc this hotel is not for you .
The weather was as good as we expected but were surprised at a constant wind blowing off the Red Sea . The hotel provide wind breaks on the beach but trying to get one proved difficult as demand was high and there were not enough for all guests and the usual continental practice of placing towels on sunbeds (I,m sure they appeared during the night ) prevailed .
This hotel is recommended if you just want to relax and stay at the hotel for the duration of your stay .
