The Breakers

“ Hotel based resort with 5 hotels, no shops or restaurants outside hotels, however you can eat in the other hotels in the resort if looking for variety. I was more than satisfied with The Breakers which whilst it was only 4 star versus 5 star for the other hotels, I found to be smaller, friendlier and more personal. Could not fault any of the staff who were wonderful, food excellent, location perfect for access to the Soma Bay reef which was in very good condition, very colourful. Good variety of fish, but I have seen more and more variety elsewhere.

Rooms good and well equiped, cleaned daily as was the hotel public areas so very clean, well maintained hotel. Pool area not the best as it was "intenal" surrounded by rooms and the restaurant which meant it lost the sun half way through the day. Pool view rooms did not get and sun on the balcony so would recomment sea view rooms for sitting out. However overall I think I picked the best hotel to stay at in Soma Bay. Met others who had stayed in all the other hotels who were more than satisfied with The Breakers.

Final note, as a Brit I was a definite minority in the hotel, which was dominated by German guests during my stay. Not a problem at all for me as I found all I came into contact with perfectly nice and friendly, but had I been looking to make English friends on holiday The Breakers was not the place this visit.
