Aqua Vista Resort Hotel

“ We've been to this hotel twice. The staff are friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We always found something to eat despite having fussy eaters in the family. The pools are fabulous. It was much quieter this time which was a shame but we did have the pool to ourselves most of the time.

“ upon arrival, first impression of the hotel was good. Clean & Spacious reception area. Our room looked over the impressive pool, and we arrived in the evening so was looking forward to seeing what the hotel was like in the morning. We where only staying for 4 nights and to be honest 4 nights is really all you can handle in this hotel. Although well presented i couldn't fault the hotel itself, however i found some of the staff rude. We where given plastic cups to drink from, the food was basically dished up from last night diner for then breakfast. 4 days was enough otherwise i would have been bored of the food options and probably said something about the staff. I am not sure if its this time of the year but we where the only english in the hotel, and very intimidating!! happy to talk but the only communication really was from the people trying to sell trips every 5 mins when your laying by the pool to relax. Please don't get me wrong for 4 days it was a nice welcomed break- to improve the time i would say more english, more choice of food, and drinks in a glass- 3 simple things really could make a lot of difference. We are a couple in our 30's and to be honest all we wanted was to relax which we did!

“ Top Tip: different hotel if your not used to being the only english!

“ We spent a week at Aqua Vista in January 2012 and the overall experience was excellent.

Many of the en suite rooms enjoy inspiring views and are cleaned regularly and efficiently. The beds are comfortable and the staff at reception are very approachable, rapidly attending to any problems you may encounter and often going out of their way to help you.

Aqua Vista is one of 3 adjacent hotels that guests can freely roam between, meaning that you can use all of the facilities, restaurants and swimming pools for free. We went all inclusive and the food was much better than other hotels I have experienced in Egypt, and once again the staff make the experience what it is; always happy to help. Food is served regularly throughout the day and drinks (including beers, wines and spirits) are free until midnight.

If i were to criticise my stay, the main problem would be the area. Aside from the beach and the relatively small bazaar, this area of Hurghada is largely made up of a series of hotels and lacks the mixture of shops, shisha cafes and restaurants that are typical of areas like Naama Bay in Sharm El Sheikh, meaning that you mostly have to stay in and around the hotel or venture to the marina which is a good 15-20 minutes by taxi.

Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were excellent, the array of swimming pools and slides are perfect for kids, families or couples, and the ambience is relaxed and accommodating.

“ Top Tip: The hotel's ATM machine exchanges money at a rate that we found to be better than the nearby bank, so use it. Put your money in note by note rather than in one lump to avoid getting large bills which can be difficult to break up in Egypt.

“ We had a wonderful time. Our 6 year old spent a lot of time in the pool at aqua vista and in the neighbouring hotel aqua blue. The staff were all very polite and friendly and there were a good range of trips. The beach was a short walk or you could get a free bus. we had an excellent time and the food was lovely.

“ Top Tip: The trip 1001 nights at at hotel 10 minutes away was amazing!
