We have stayed at this hotel many times which says it all.
Staff are friendly without being overpowering. Always have B+B as there are many excellent places to dine either down town or at the marina. Have stayed in different room every time and very satisfied.
Sure we will go back again.
“ Top Tip: Just across from the hotel is the Club House. It has beach, pool and staff are very good here as well. Good for snacks and meals in day time.

“ Boutique hotel, centrally located close to all facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. A few problems with the shower but resolved quite quickly. Would stay their again.
“ Top Tip: Take a trip to the marina hwere there is a good atmosphere and a great range of restaurants. In town also good particularly Kiki's Italian restaurant.

Dowar El Omda is a stylish, friendly hotel in a probably the nicest beach resort in Egypt. The town, although new, is architecturally designed in the old Arabian style with lots of domes and arches. The town is built around lagoons from the sea so everywhere you look there is water.
The hotel is beautifully decorated in with an eclectic mix of antiques and ethnic furniture, let down only by slightly tired, shabby bathrooms. The food is excellent and waiting staff polite and friendly.

If you expect any kind of service, please stay away.
I think that all of us would agree that the whole point of going away is to recharge the batteries and have a relaxing time. I travel quite a lot with my work and have a good understanding of what the hotel rating system actually means and what one should expect for your stars. The rooms are no where near 4 stars with loose sockets, water not running well and a TV that packed up twice a day. I was woken up at 7AM for the first two days by very enthusiastic cleaners greeting the receptions staff. I asked to move to another room as far way from the reception as possible and they attempted to move me two doors down instead. Having explained myself again, they finally got the message and moved me to a room that was a bit better where I actually managed to get some sleep. The complaint sadly offended them to the point where all further communication from them took a form of a grunt and there was no polite goodbye as I was leaving. Do not attempt to use the bar. I requested a large Gin and Tonic which cost me 210 pounds or 23GBP. A Martini is in the region of 100 pounds or 10 GBP. A daylight robbery you say? I agree.

The Resort features 268 rooms overlooking the Lagoon and Golf course. The 24h reception helps in any concern and the 3 restaurants and 4 bars leave no wish open. It provides 2 swimming pools and 3 beaches give you space to relax. Wlan Internet in the Lobby and DSL Internet in the rooms are available.
“ Stayed at Taba last year at the Hyatt,and the Steigenberger is not up to that standard and certainly not 5 star.Staff are not very pleasant,and rooms vary considerably.
