“ Very pleasant sight and location. Very clean rooms and amenities. Excellent recreation facilities. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.however, there is room for improvement to the choice of food. Should provide shuttle service to the city centre at least once a day Overall a very pleasant experience.

“ Beach area small. Food very average (even the a la carte Italian ) Staff generally poor communicating due to poor English. Hotel situation in run down unfinished area. (next door literally a building site) Sun always shon so holiday was ok, but we expected more from Marriott ratings. A mistake to compare their Hotels with Beach Resort holidays. Travel Republic arrangements first class altho' Hurghada rep might have provided us with a bit more info.

“ This Marriott hotel does not match up to other Marriott Hotels given its 5* status.
While the rooms were clean and large enough we didn't have the room cleaned on 2 days. We experienced the hotel when it was full, a local arab celebration was taking place hence the hotel was overrun by families and small children making it a different experience. Meals were chaotic times.
The Spa was a very big disappointment. The massage was poor, the environment was very noisy so relaxation and peace and quiet were not part of the package.
On the positive side it's in a good location, has a good watersports and diving centre.

“ The Marriott Red Sea Resort was great for the week I was there in late October / early November 2011. The hotel facilities are excellent, especially the pool area and private beach. The staff were always absolutely friendly and helpful, without exception, from reception to restaurant and bar staff to pool and beach attendants. Unusually for Egypt, there was never any expectation or pressure to tip, although we did give small tips for excellent service.
The only issue I had about the hotel amenities was the lack of a tea/coffee-making facility in the room; so that's why I've given a 9, rather than a 10.
It's a good 20-30 minute walk to the nearest outside restaurants and bars but that's not unusual in Hurghada, which is very spread out. However, the hotel provides a fixed-price taxi service: 20 Egyptian pounds.
I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

“ Top Tip: We used Trip Advisor for guidance about restaurants. However, the best restaurant we found wasn't actually in Trip Advisor's top 20. I'd definitely recommend Dune restaurant in the New Marina. The food was excellent and the staff were charming and friendly. The manager, Oni, and his English wife were lots of fun and great hosts.
