We had problems from the start with the hotel having on hotel reservation for us
We only found out because my daughter visited the hotel to see what it was like
The room was for 3 people and was only prepared for 2
We tried to have a shower before dinner and we had no hot water another visit to the reception
We went to dinner only to be told the restaurant was full
We complained to the manager and he quickly found us a table
I then found out that lunch and dinner were counter service for drinks not impressed
A tip to the manager solved the problem
Overall i was not impressed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The main number of guests were Russian.
Food not the top quality I was expecting and not hot.
Queues everwhere for drinks.
You are not allowed to walk along to the next beach which was the Titanic hotel section and are sent back by their security.

“ need to get taxi into town for any sort of nightlife as nothing near to hotel expect to pay £5.each way, no problems with food or amenities in hotel suits all ages, people all very friendly, take warm clothing for night as can get quite chilly although we went in november so could expect it, not many british in this hotel, tends to be overtaken by the russian guests, altogether quite a enjoyable time with something to do in the hotel for all ages
“ Top Tip: taxi to the marina at night

the hotel staff were friendly and polite whatever time we called with our enquiries. After going out at night, i had to be let into my room at 3am and there was no problem. Entertainment available each day and evening inside the hotel complex for all ages. A few shops selling gifts or snacks 2 minutes walk away from hotel.
Easy to reach the shopping strip by bus from directly outside the hotel.
Agree the price for bus and taxi's before you board and your fine be prepared to negotiate. Food in the hotel was fine for the first week but if you tried most things each day your options became limited by the second week. There is a large selection but not for vegans (no animal products or dairy).
Housekeeping was excellent with clean sheets and a tidy room always.
the reception chairs looked clean until you had to wait the 9 hours on the last day. Chairs heavily used and could have done with a steam clean, we both ended up leaving that day with bites on our back, arms and legs. No bites throughout the holiday until then.
Definitely worth the money spent.
“ Top Tip: There is a beautiful private beach in Sakala behind the Marriot Hotel. Costs 35LE but worth it for a change of scenery.

“ The hotel was spotlessly clean, the food was plentiful, if not exactly gourmet, the pool was fabulous, the animators were great fun and worked hard to get everyone involved in the daily activities. The reception staff were not very friendly but efficient in their own Egyptian manner. I would definitely recommend this hotel for all round satisfaction
“ Top Tip: The hotel is out of the main area of Hurghada and taxi into town cost 50LE. It made economic sense to walk outside the hotel to the bottom of the driveway and hail a regular taxi which cost less than half the price.
