Stayed at Taba last year at the Hyatt,and the Steigenberger is not up to that standard and certainly not 5 star.Staff are not very pleasant,and rooms vary considerably.
Golf course was packed every day and took 5 hours per round.Multitude of German and Russian guests,so get your towels on the beds early.........
Weather also a lot cooler than in Taba with strong winds on many days and cold at night.
At least there were some decent restaurants not too far away in the Marina,as opposed to Taba which had none.
But would not go back again

Not near the beach but excellent frree shuttle services to Mangroovy Beach seven minutes away
Restaurants and entertainment only five minutes away in either El Gouna downtown or El gouna marina by shuttle or boat from the hotel at the bargain price of 20 Egyptian pounds [ £2 pounds sterling) for a weekly pass
