“ Visited this hotel two years ago, and was very pleased, this time we went again but the hotel seems to have suffered a little, the room was definitely under par and the staff didn't seem so friendly and seem to be much better with the russian and german visitors, food is good but the restaurants dotted around the complex which we thought were very good last time we stayed were frankly rubbish. beach is nice pools are nice and if you like head banging rave there is a pool for that to. Won't be going back next time!!!!!

This hotel is very clean and the staff are polite and the service is pretty good, but the food is extremely poor, by no means 5 star! food is bland and the same every day!! More like 2 star. Hotel is mainly occupied by Russians who were not nice poeple on the whole.
But beware if you risk going outside the resort, TAXI DRIVERS! They are an absolute nightmare, non stop hastle off them and when you do negotiate a price they try and rip you off by telling you they got no change or they swap notes for the local currency thats worth nothing while your not looking! Total con men that almost spoilt the whole holiday!!! Dont think will be returning just because of them!!
“ Top Tip: The mariner at Hurghada is worth a visit if you can put up with the taxi drivers!

“ Could not really fault anything about the Sunrise Garden. Room (2304) overlooking pergola pool was fab. I'd e-mailed the hotel prior to our arrival asking for this room, and my request was met. All hotel kept clean and tidy. Staff worked really hard and were very friendly and welcoming. Food OK. Main restaurant not bad, (there was always something to chose from) but managed to eat at the a-la-carte here and Mamlouk Palace next door on 6 occasions, but you do need to book as soon as you can. The Asian at Mamlouk was very good, as was the Oriental at the Sunrise. Had one meal at the Italian which wasn't great. Food at pool OK too for lunch, Pizzas freshly made. Drink choice bit limited, no premium brands on offer. Water freely available (bottled) in all bars and 2 bottles left in your room each day. Soft drinks left in your room each week and there is also tea and coffee making facilities which made a nice change (although had to get fresh milk from the bar each day or couple of days). Did not try snorkelling from beach as looked quite poor compared to Sharm. Did a boat trip from the hotel for our snorkelling 'fix'. Did the Dolphin House trip which expensive at £45 each, was a good day and we did manage to see 5 dolphins. All in all a good holiday, no complaints.
“ Top Tip: Used the hotel shuttle bus to go into Hurghada as we wanted to go to the Marina. However Marina still a good walk from drop-off point, so jumped a local taxi at a cost of £1!! Marina however during day all closed. No bars open till approx. 5pm. Lots of nice boats though. Lots of the run of the mill 'tat' shops in Hurghada, and compared to Sharm, less hassle. Hurghada however is very much a 'real' town, so be prepared for lots of dust, dirt, local living very poor, with goats etc. wondering the side streets!

“ The hotel was loveley howevre the food was not. Did not have much choice and was cold. The staff however were really friendly and helpful. I did think that the shops in the hotel should be a fixed price as they appeared to make up their own prices.
“ Top Tip: There is a shop facing the hotel which is a "fixed price" shop so you do not have to bata.
