The hotel was a serene and beautiful location by the Nile and the hotel grounds were stunning and perfectly maintained by a dedicated staff. The rooms were sufficient although they lack the impact of other hotels I've stayed in they have everything you need.

First of all there is no trouble regarding the revolution in Luxor. It's main issue actually is that tourists believe there is, and are not travelling there in their droves resulting in a very quiet hotel and choice of any lounger around the pool!

This causes the hotel staff from management to cleaners to have an extreme eagerness to ensure your happy and everything is to your liking. I cannot count how many times I had a staff member ask if everything is good and wishing me to enjoy my stay.

The food was excellent and although breakfast was a bit weird (chilli con carne style beans for example) they had enough choice to please us for the 2 weeks we were there. They provided themed food styles each night (Asian, french etc) and that helped to keep us on our toes.

Regarding choice for all inclusive guests the feedback I gave before leaving was that the poolside cafe whilst nice, was a bit dull after eating there for lunch every day for two weeks. Unlike breakfast and dinner which is a large buffet lunch is a set menu which does not change.

They also held an Egyptian themed night every Friday which was nice with belly dancer, traditional music etc. With Egyptian food.

Outside of the resort in Luxor itself this has caused a wave of persistent and sometimes very forward sellers from taxis to market stall owners. Even the old "no thank you" in Arabic is not enough to dissuade them and you have to physically leave to get away which, because we are not used to that, dampened our experience somewhat.

Overall I would heartily recommend this hotel and everyone we met there was on their 3rd or 8th return trip there which means there's something to it! Those had also stayed in Luxor city hotels and it's cramped and dusty views are a world apart from what this hotel has to offer. A taxi into town is only around £3 and they offer free boats or buses at set times per day.

Top Tip: Visit the west bank opposite the hotel. It's a culture shock and worlds apart but they do "real" camel rides and show you some genuine egyptian life.

Excellent value for money. Slightly out of Luxor so much more peaceful than the "town" hotels but so many taxis and buses (cheap) so that the temples and town are easily accessible.
AI package is generous- few restrictions- food v good.
Staff really friendly and helpful.
Would reccommend highly and would certainly return. Try to ask for a room with lots of light as some of them can be a little dingey.

The food was perfectly adequate but mostly fairly tasteless.

Our mini bar in our room and our coffee/tea supplies were never replenished unless we asked. Even when we asked, we generally had to ring reception twice and wait at least 1 hour. In most hotels these jobs are done as a daily task by the chambermaid. We never actually saw the person who cleaned our room.

the pool was v ery nice and all the outside was beautifully maintained and the staff all very helpful.
