We were delighted with everything at the Fanadir. Our room was comfortable and was cleaned every day. As we requested it was on the first floor with a marina view
and was very quiet. Breakfast was continental with a good choice of food and we liked the hot food station with omelettes etc.
However what made the hotel special was the staff. They were all so friendly, cheerful and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We were sorry to leave...

Top Tip:
Try Thomas's on the marina (near the bookshop) for a homemade pizza. As they say in Egypt 'lovely jubbly'!!
Also La Scala restaurant nearby for a nice meal and warm welcome from the lovely
staff there.
Downtown the Athena Greek restaurant was our favourite. Again a very warm welcome from the staff and great food (not just greek)

“ Rooms was spotlessly clean and had everyhing we needed. Quite dissapointed with the breakfast service, found there were only one or two waiters and the egg chef wasn't always out - plus tool a long while to come out when asked. This led to waiig around a lot longer than we were happy too. Also a huge bumber of flies about that ruined the otherwise relaxing environment - this was a problem inside as well as out.

“ Top Tip: Whilst I was there I tried my hand at kite surfing with a company called kitepower located on Mangroovy beach, a ten minute walk around the marina from the hotel. Or get a tuk tuk anywhere for £1 (bargain). Moods bar is also great located right on the beach in the other direction, great couches, food drink and music, worth a visit.

Beautiful hotel and the staff are wonderful, they make you feel very welcome. I was sad to leave!
The hotel and surrounding area are conducive to a really relaxing holiday.
“ Top Tip: There are three local shuttle buses covering different routes around El Gouna. A day pass is 5 Egyptian Pounds (50p) or its 20 Egyptian Pounds (£2.00) for the week. For this you can use all routes and a boat shuttle.
