This was our second stay at the Movenpick and it lived up to all expectations. Through your good offices we requested that our room should be in a particular 'group' and indeed this is what we got.
The staff at this hotel, from gardeners to senior management, were all very friendly and helpful - some of the best found anywhere in our view.
The food quality and choice was always good, the only criticism being that the hot offerings in the main buffet restaurant were often only warm.
An altogether excellent experience.

“ The general ambience of this hotel was pleasant and laid-back, supported by friendly, discrete, efficient service. Faciliates and proximity of the beach added to the our perception of a well designed complex, if not a 'village', with interesting and varied styles of accommodation and architecture. Would come back again.
“ Top Tip: catch the mini bus and explore 'down town' and the marina.

As always, the Movenpick was a joy to stay in. From the moment you arrive you are dealt with by such friendly and delightful staff that it's very difficult to drag yourself away when you have to leave. We initially had problems with our room requests when we made the reservation but this was dealt with immediately and on our arrival we were given the most beautiful refurbished suite and our two daughters were given another refurbished room very close to ours which was also beautiful. The hotel was still very quiet following the peaceful revolution in February and the staff are hopeful of guests gradually returning to the resort over the next few months. In essence, this hotel remains a 5 star resort and I find it difficult to think of anything to complain about.

We had another lovely holiday at the Movenpick Hotel. It's just what we want :
1) Good facilities
2) Clean
3) Attentive but not overbearing staff
4) Somewhere to walk to safely in the evening
5) Lovely weather
6) Quite location
“ Top Tip: The best advice is to have B & B. There are some great restaurants within either walking distance or a cheap Tuk Tuk ride

Good quality hotel, on the beach, close to all amenities in downtown El Gouna which can be accessed by a local shuttle running every 20mins and through till 2am. Kite surfing and diving centres are available at the hotel.
2 A la Carte restuarants available on site but several good restaurants locally in El Gouna which is 5 mins by shuttle or 15 mins walk from the hotel.

The Resort features 268 rooms overlooking the Lagoon and Golf course. The 24h reception helps in any concern and the 3 restaurants and 4 bars leave no wish open. It provides 2 swimming pools and 3 beaches give you space to relax. Wlan Internet in the Lobby and DSL Internet in the rooms are available.
“ Stayed at Taba last year at the Hyatt,and the Steigenberger is not up to that standard and certainly not 5 star.Staff are not very pleasant,and rooms vary considerably.

The large variety of services and the laid back atmosphere of this air-conditioned beach hotel make it a top destination for holidaymakers and business travellers alike. Guests are welcomed in the lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, a hotel safe, lift access and a bar. Luxuriate in the wonderful culinary delights of the Oceana restaurant with its tasty cuisine and innovative dishes from all over the world, in particular from Belgium. Laundry and room services also feature.
