Negatives first...
We had no towels in the room upon arrival, and still didn't have any by the following night despite asking reception to sort it. Eventually resolved by telling our rep.
We didn't have any hot or even luke warm water at all for the first half of the holiday despite repeatedly telling reception. Again, only resolved by speaking to our rep.
Room is basic and gets uncomfortably hot unless you turn on the air con which sounds like a tank rolling through your room.
Water in bathroom smells strongly of poo, we had to keep the bathroom door shut to keep the main room smelling alright. Don't know if this is because the area in general isn't well developed or what.
Hotel is mainly full of German/Italian guests, and most of the English spoken by staff is basic.
Food is pretty limited, have stayed in Egypt before and ate four meals a day but had to resort to buying £2 bags of crisps a few times to see me through when I didnt fancy rice and unknown brown meat again.
We knew there would be a lack of things to do at night from the reviews we'd read but there is literally nothing around for mile upon mile! And we were advised against going to the nearest town El Quesir by our rep. And also against Marsa Alam which he said is just a collection of hotels and is over an hours drive away.
Positives...
The weather (which at the end of the day is what we went for, we knew not to expect much from a 3 star in Egypt).
The two beaches are nice. Shallow water and snorkelling on both, saw some incredible fish.
Pool area is decent enough.
Drinks were fine, beer was nice, and spirits plentiful, didn't try any wine.

Top Tip: The dolphin house boat trip was amazing. Swam with about 30 dolphins, will never forget it.

The Hotel rooms were below average the air con worked now and again the bathroom was a bit poor the towels were grey and frayed. The food was OK but the drinks were served in a dirty plastic half pint never filled. The evenings were soooooooooooo boring with no entertainment. And to top it all the night before we left on of the English couples had their room burgled. In short give the Cinderella hotel a wide berth!!!

This is the second time I have stayed at the Cinderella and reading the reviews before we went i was getting worried that it had changed for the worse!! Not true at all, staff lovely dont get many english but do their best to make you welcome, rooms clean and comfortable, food ( 7 times in egypt food is never brilliant ) as good as any of the other hotels we have stayed in, beach superb lots of beds, huts etc, snorkelling out of this world!! the only downside is the entertainment is all italian, but as 90% of the guests are italian you cant blame them and the guy who runs it never stops trying to invlolve guests. If you are used to 5 star treatment or want a really busy holiday then Cinderella is not for you, if like us you go away to chill, enjoy the sun, love snorkelling and want to be able to relax and enjoy your surroundings then Cinderella is the place to go (we will definately be returning next year)

Top Tip: Get up early be on the beach for 7am the dolphins can usually be spotted and the sea is at its calmest so access over the spectacular reef is a doddle

Hotel needs some general updating, air conditioning is non-existant in public areas and not effective in the rooms. Bathrooms need modernising. Food not bad, but some days the choice was a bit limited. Choice of drinks on all inclusive not as good as at other hotels in Egypt but wine was good, best I've had in Egypt. Staff mostly brilliant, waiters, pool boys, bar staff all very friendly and most spoke some English. I was amazed to visit reception and find only 1 person on duty who spoke no English at all! Excursions too expensive - in Sharm or Hurghada a snorkelling trip is about £20-£25 but here it was £40 - £50. With a bit of tlc this could be a lovely hotel, the beach is lovely but the pool needs a good clean round the inside edges - full of dirt & grease. A lot of people were complaining and wanted to be moved, I didn't feel like that but some general upgrading is definitely needed to keep up with all the new hotels being constructed on the coast.

Top Tip: Nothing in the vicinity of the hotel apart from desert! Did the trip to Abu Dhabib which was lovely, but we didn't have enough time there!
