This beach resort hotel faces directly out onto the open sea and the expansive beach front. It has 300 rooms in total and facilities include air conditioning, a lobby, hotel safe, café, mini-supermarket, shop, hairdressers' salon, restaurant and Internet access. There is a kids' club and a playground and room and laundry services are provided. The bar is the perfect venue for a relaxing night cap.
This hotel is located directly next to the beach, beside the new port of Ghalib. In the lively town centre visitors will find busy promenades with shops, boutiques, restaurants, bistros, cafés, as well as galleries and entertainment for all ages. It is just 5 km from Marsa Alam Airport, 70 km north of Marsa Alam and 67 km south of Quiseir.
All of the rooms are spacious and have a balcony with sea, pool or garden views. An en suite bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, minibar, individually adjustable air conditioning, a safe deposit box, and either a balcony or terrace all come as standard.
Club 55's offers amenities such as a heated outdoor swimming pool with children's pool, poolside snackbar, sun loungers and parasols, sundecks and a beach either at the resort or nearby. The beaches are sand and gravel and come with sun loungers and parasols. A sauna, massage treatments, tennis, table tennis, aerobics, gym facility, beach volleyball, pool/snooker and darts are all available. Guests may take advantage of the entertainment and activity programmes for both young and old. The kids' club offers playgrounds and playrooms, a wide variety of toys, painting and drawing materials, games, musical instruments and sports equipment. After dinner there is live music and a show on the outdoor terrace.

“ Good variety of HOT food and very friendly staff. Excellent room overlooking the beach and lots going on with the animation team. On the downside, if there is one, if you are looking for a hotel frequented by British people then this is not for you. The majority of the guests are Belgian, German, Dutch or Scandinavian with only a smattering of British people but even as a single traveller this made no difference to an excellent stay.
“ Top Tip: Visiting in December the winds were quite strong and I personally found the sea too rough on the house reef. However, a 20 minute walk along the beach to Marsa Mubark the sea is sheltered and although I didn't find an abundance of fish there were turtles and dugong so well worth the walk

“ Excellent staff - very friendly, polite and helpful. Beautiful gardens. Accommodation fine. A few criticisms: more shade (ie parasols) needed on the breakfast terrace. More loungers with parasols for shade needed on the beach - this wouldn't be so if people didn't go down at the crack of dawn, stick their towels on the loungers and then go away for several hours. By 7.30am every single front-line lounger was 'reserved'. This is appalling practice and is something that the hotel should strive harder to stamp out. It stated that reserving loungers was not permitted, but did nothing about it when people did.

lovely hotel,rooms light and airy-beds very hard-ask for mattress topper and all will be well!
beach great-lots of sunbeds/umbrellas and wind breaks(it can be very windy).the reef is lovely -teeming with fish and the corals are stunning.beach restaurant good but very busy at lunchtime-be prepared to wait or walk to the main restaurant.
access for limited mobility is not great-steps from main foyer and steep to the beach.although the hotel pathways are mostly level they are rough concrete and would be very bumpy in a wheelchair.
we found the staff are helpful but not overly friendly.
meal choice in the main restaurant was very good,though buffet style and very busy with queueing at peak times.breakfast in the winter months ends at 9am,so no lie-in.dinner also finishes at 9pm.
