“ the Mandarin hotel was closed so we were upgraded to the Hauza beach resort the sister hotel across the road. You would have to walk to the Hauza for your meals and to get to the beach anyway and as we had stayed at the Hauza 4 times before it was great, anyone worried about the food issues they have had in the past should give it another try, they have a new chef who has been brought in specifically to tackle these problems and we found a 1,000% improvement in the food and presentation. We had a fantastic holiday
“ Top Tip: if you want an English breakfast you need to go to the Union Jack bar they do food all day and evening and they show all premiership and international football as does the Jive bar

“ It is difficult to rate this hotel in isolation, as you have to review Hauza Beach Resort at the same time. The Mandarin is only half built, but the rooms are large with 2 double beds, and room for a third, plus a fridge and flat screen TV. The rooms surround a large spacious pool that is surrounded by empty sunbeds, as most people go to the Hauza for the animation team, or the beach. There is a bar by the pool but all meals have to be taken at the Hauza Beach. On the whole, if you want to sit quietly by the pool, the Manadarin is ideal, but then if you want more activity you are free to use all of the Hauza Beach facilities. Therefore by staying at the Mandarin, you get the best of both worlds, plus the walk to get your meals, may be your only exercise during the day!
