“ Our family (boys aged 9 & 11) have just returned from a 5 day stay at Stella Di Mare in Sharm El Sheik over Easter. The pictures and trip advisor reviews had been good, however we were very disappointed with what the hotel had to offer, and actually quite bored. The hotel structure is very unimaginative and is very 'corporate' by the sea, with no middle eastern styling or flair. There is no beach to use, just a small man-made sandy platform and a couple of jetties to jump from - however the fish and snorkelling is good. The pool areas were fine however very small shallow water areas, so if your child was out of arm bands but not confident to be left alone it would be a nightmare. The kids club is non-existent (tiny room with plasticine, drawing etc..) not dynamic or water orientated in any way. My children were stuck for things to do, as it is in the middle of nowhere, there is nowhere to walk or run any distance. Seemed to be more a place for adults happy to just sunbathe. The evening entertainment was very obvious and traditional. The disco for over 18s and the mini disco very mini (baa baa black sheep rap). You could put this hotel anywhere there is such a lack of identity. HOWEVER The staff were faultless, all egyptian and an absolute delight, bending over backwards for every whim. Who should go? Adults who don't want to do much, very young families. Not for teenagers or children wanting more action.

“ First impressions not good as no-one waiting for us when we arrived at the hotel,no-one to open doors which I would expect from this type of hotel. However reception staff very courteous. Had a lovely large sea facing double room with large bathroom. Very clean. Beautiful pool area with manicured lawns, service around pool excellent. We were all-inclusive so had drinks all day which was fantastic as the weather was so hot. The main La Terrezza restaurant was very good with a never ending supply of food. I would rate the food 'good' but not excellent. Service in the restaurant was exceptional. The hotel is only 4 years old and was very beautiful and still in excellent condition. This hotel is great for a relaxing holiday but not suitable for a family fun holiday. Overall we had a fantastic time and didn't want to come home. I think that speaks for itself!
