“ This is not a 5 star hotel. ALthough the food was nice it was very repetitive and not a great deal of choice. If you need to be on a lower level you must. Make sure you advise this as I had advised had recently had a foot operation and wanted ground floor room and I was placed on level 7. You had to go through hotel reception past pool over a bridge into main hotel take lift to 3rd floor along a corridor and then up 4 flights of stairs and a small hill before even reaching the area where our room was. The main lounge which is situated in the reception area and bar could be very nice but the smell of smokers hit you as soon as you walked through the door! There is a pool bar on the upper levels which closes at 5 and there are no other bars open at the top end of the hotel at night so. you have to walk down to main street for bars which kind of defeats the object of the all inclusive. On the day of departure I was told over the phone from reception that we had the room til 12 and to leave the case they would be collected, however on leaving the pool area at 1.30 we looked through the room window to see the cases were still there. We went back in to room and rang reception and they said yet would send someone for them - 10 mins later we were still waiting so took them ourselves only to be told at reception we owed them £20 for late check out. We refused to pay this as we had been out of the room since 10am. Also don't buy the newspapers around the pool they will cost you around £4.50
“ Top Tip: The Lido hotel has a fabulous restaurant on the deck where you can see the tropical fish as you eat. Hard Rock Cafe is great.

“ Hotel, food and importantly the weather were all excellent. With the hotel in an excellent location. Would definitely recommend.
“
Top Tip:
Camel Bar Naama bay - excellent food and drinks. The roof terrace has an amazing atmosphere with excellent views of the busy Naama bay at night.
Go to Luxor, amazing day (if you haven't been) book with your rep, the guide they use is excellent.
Snorkelling a must do in the Red sea - amazing.
On the hassle from the local shops - it will happen, I found that you can interact, just keep walking and talking (They seem amazed you can do this!!), they may even follow for a bit but most with good humour and banter, a few got a little irate. If you can't cope with this say nothing and keep walking.

Great location right in the centre of Naama Bay so you don't need taxis to get in and out of town. Staff are really fantastic, very friendly and make you really welcome, they are also very helpful.
Rooms a little dated, not sure this is a five star hotel compared to some of the hotels in Sharm but it isn't five star prices either and overall gives good value for money.
Choice was a bit limited on evening meals this year (we have been there three times now). Breakfast was good. All inclusive drinks are only local but it's not bad.
Choice of four pools so there is something for everyone, a lively one with slides and music or quieter ones in different areas of the hotel. Beach gets very busy in the morning but seems to empty out at lunch time.
Overall very happy with this hotel, can't be too bad because we keep going back!
“
Top Tip:
Camel Bar is lovely and only a short walk away, happy hour is five to eight. Go on the roof terrace to watch the world going past. Food is really excellent there too.
Hard Rock Cafe is worth a visit, their burgers are absolutely fantastic and if you go early you miss the disco, later on it gets very lively. Their cocktails will blow your socks off!
Try some of the Egyptian cafes they are lovely and the waiters make you feel very welcome but make sure you ask the prices before you get your drinks because otherwise it can turn out expensive! Tell them you won't pay local taxes either and you will get a good price.
