Local tips: for a lovely day out visit the nearby bedouin settlements - either (1) Maizena to the south or (2) Tarabeen to the north. Both are very pretty with Tarabeen often citied as being the prettier of the two. Tarabeen is sited on a sandy beach resplendent with palm trees, reminiscent of a story book oasis complete with sand dunes. The settlements offer eateries, shops and kiosks to bring home reminders of your visit. All in all a good day out to round of your Egyptian holiday.

Excellent staff, facilities were good but need a bit of repair, location is what we wanted in the middle of nowhere (don't go if you want a town or anything else near by), grounds are excellent, beach very good, food was very good and all
Inclusive. Overall a very good holiday but if you are choosing between here and dahab, choose dehab. It has hotels of the same standard, a better bigger beach, a town nearby, and better snorkelling and dive sites.
“ Top Tip: Trip to Petra was good but it is expensive at £200 and a lot of travelling!

“ While I was there, refurbishment work was being carried out on the pool and this had a bit of a detrimental impact on the atmosphere of the hotel. I would have thought that which this significant work was being carried out the hotel would have offered a reduced rate.

This is a well maintained and modern beach hotel, located at the Ras Um Sid plateau, the underwater park famous for scuba diving and snorkelling. It is air-conditioned and comprises a total of 136 guest rooms. Facilities on offer include a 24-hour reception, café, a small supermarket, an on-site hairdresser, a bar, a TV room and a restaurant. In addition to this the hotel provides a laundry service, cycle hire and a kids' club to keep younger guests entertained. The hotel is situated in Ras Um Sid, about a 10-minute drive from Naama Bay. There is a free shuttle bus to Naama Bay private beach (4 km away) and to Amphoros private beach, which is 350 m from the hotel. There is an abundance of shops and restaurants in the resort centre. The main diving site is 5 km away. Each room comes with an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, a satellite/ cable television, a mini fridge, individually adjustable air conditioning, a safe and either a balcony or a terrace.

The unique resort has a truly exotic atmosphere and comprises a total of 378 rooms. Decorated with hand-worked metal, warm, inviting textiles and comfortable furniture it is the perfect environment for relaxation and recuperation. The reception desk in the lobby of this air-conditioned beach hotel is manned around the clock and offers a hotel safe and currency exchange facility to all guests. A restaurant, open-air barbecue, bars, lounge, Internet cafe and bazaar can also be found within the hotel. Laundry, business and room services as well as organised excursions complete the package. For our younger guests there is a kids' club and disco, and a babysitting service is available on request.
“ This is my fourth time at this hotel. We did complain this time about the noise late at night after disco had finished as many people who came back to rooms shouting and banging doors!!!!!! All corridors are marble tiles so echo and very noisy- there are NO notices to ask guests to be aware of others!!!! Apart from this, it is a great place to stay and staff are wonderful.

“ The hotel was clean and tidy, but could do with some 'refreshing' i.e. painting, building maintenance, grouting of the pool etc. The hotel was exactly what we were expecting bearing in mind the cost compared to other hotels in Sharm El Sheikh.

This hotel, which has 317 rooms in total, is ideal for guests seeking a friendly atmosphere with an enviable beachfront location. It has a lobby, 24-hour reception, currency exchange facilities, Internet access, as well as a laundry service.
