The Aqua Blu is a fantastic hotel for both families an couples, young and old. This is by far one of the cleanest and friendliest hotels we have been to, and we're already planning a return visit.
We stayed in block 3, our room was immaculate and very spacious. The beds were comfy, modern bathroom with walk in shower with unlimited supplies of hot water, lovely balcony view of the gondola river, fridge in the room stocked daily with water. Our cleaner Mohammed was a lovely, friendly man and could not do enough for us. Bath/pool towells changed on a daily basis. It was my birthday during our stay and Mohammed suprised me with a birthday cake which was a lovely touch.
We drank most nights in the Clubhouse. Michelle the barman was happiest, friendliest bartender we have ever met. Before we had even finished our drinks he was bringing us more. His customer service skills are fantastic.
The local beer Sakara was ok however the spirits were a lot to be desired. So much so the vodka tasted like a bad whisky!!!! This is not a reflection on the hotel just the local spirits in general as it was the same out of the hotel. We took our own bottle of Smirnoff and on a couple of occasions took it in the bar and just ordered soft drinks to mix.
There a selection of restaurants with various themes, the main restaurant Cave Du Roi had a different theme every night such as German, Italian and Mexican. The food was of a good standard especially the Pizzas!!! However in our opinion it was a bit too repetitive at times although other people we spoke to loved it and did not get bored.
Water park was fab, lots of slides for young and old. We had an absolute ball, brought out our childish side. Water was a bit cold due to the time of year but after the initial shock it was fine. Heated pool by main restaurant was lovely. Sunbeds comfier than most hotels I have been to.
We spent a lot of time at night in Narma Bay due the lack of entertainment in the hotel for our age group, however this is common for the majority of the hotels in Sharm. Before getting into a taxi arrange your price to Narma Bay. No more than 35 egyptian pounds. You are hassled a lot of the time as soon as you get out at Narma Bay but a simple No Thank you is all it takes. We ate out at Hard Rock one night for a change. Food was excellent. Went to a few karaoke bars had a great time singing and dancing till 4 in the morning. Drinks and food prices very reasonable.
Weather was good overall however first few days there was a chilly breeze but that dropped in the afternoon. Night times can be very cold this time of year so just take extra layers.
Overall a fantastic holiday and we will defo be going back to this hotel next year. When out an about outside the hotel we heard so many other holiday makers moan about their hotels and so we feel very lucky to have chosen the Aqua Blu.

Top Tip:
When going out of hotel always use the blue/white taxis an haggle with driver.
Buy ur duty free spirits on way out to drink whilst there.
Take sterling with u as its a better exchange rate out there.
A little tip to ur waiter/barman/cleaner goes a long way.

“ We had a really great stay at the hotel. The only problem was the russians. They were very rude and pushed in for drinks and food. They also started some trouble when we were out one night not very nice people at all. But thats not the hotels fault. The only thing i would have changed is better entertainment and more off it as it stopped between 10-12 in the evening. Also could of done with a pool bar actually in the pool as i have had in another hotel in sharm. Staff extremely frinedly though and made my friends birthday extra special!Would definately return! :)
“ Top Tip: Make sure you do a boat trip with snorkling etc! Amazing and the food is great, brillaint value for money ! :)
