Beach Albatros Sharm

“ The garden rooms are dated and could do with a revamp, we met a couple with a new seaview room and it was beautiful. So choose your room carefully. You can hear the call to prayer at 04:50am every morning as the tannoy is close to the hotel. The food was excellant and the staff helpfull and friendly, There's a lift down to the beach where the snorkelling is excellant and a market just a short walk away. Be aware the locals want your business and will hound you to buy some of the many fake goods on offer.

“ Top Tip: Definately ask for a new seaview room on booking, they are in a different class to the older and somewhat tired garden rooms. However it was clean and did us fine for a week

“ Staff very friendly. Food was good. I think some rooms are better than others. We had a nice sea view room. We met someone who asked to change rooms and that was all sorted for them.

“ Top Tip: The snorkelling at the left end of the beach, just round the corner onto the public beach was better than straight out off the beach.

We went for a diving holiday and it was very good. We let the guys at the hotel book it all for us. Water was a bit chilly in January. Make sure you get a 5mm wet suit!! Also take an extra jumper for the evenings.

“ this was our 2nd stay at this hotel a big improvement on 6 years ago, rooms were clean,the gardens kept tidy, and we could always find something to our taste in the dining room, staff very friendly and helpfull,great views of old sharm and sinai mountains from the cliff top location of the hotel. would like to return here possibly next year.

“ This is the first time that we have been to this hotel ,we found the staff very nice .My wife and I are a bit older and my wife found that there was a lot of walking as the restaurants were at one end on the hotel and the rooms were at the other.We were one of the lucky ones who got one of the new rooms my daughter and her family were in one of the old rooms and it was not very nice it was clean but that is all it had going for it.The beach is a bit of a problem also we were not told before we went the the other 2 sister hotels use the beach and if you were not down before there bus's were in you could not get a seat,we found this very unfare because we were not aloud to go to there hotels unless we paid £20 it would have been nice to go to them as one of them had a water park and my grandchildren would have loved this but we were a party of 8 and it would have cost us £160. The food in the restaurants was ok there was always some thing there that you could eat but the beach bar was not so good it was the same every day pizza or sandwich .I dont no if we would go back to this hotel again as my wife found all the walking a bit much.
