Royal Albatros Moderna Hotel

“ It was good value for money. The staff were excellent and service was great! The rooms were comfortable and roomy and served their purpose. The pools were cold, but who wants to swim in a pool when the sea is just five minutes away?! IT was much warmer than the pools anyhow.

I've been to two other All Inclusive resorts (in Mexico) and had high expectations for food as a result; this was my only let-down. I'm accustomed to amazing meals prepared by chefs. The food isn't bad, per se, but it's nothing to write home about.

“ Top Tip: - Staff know right away if you are freshly arrived - by your untanned skin. Unfortunately for us we didn't tan, and were repeatedly reminded of this. SPF 50 sunscreen works wonders in early February sun!
- The package at the Salon (pedicure) is alright for 15£; I wouldn't bother with an upgrade, though. The women getting masks didn't look all that comfortable!
- Tagine restaurant was our favourite - the only one to offer any Middle Easter fare.
- there is a currency converter/bank machine on the resort but it was down for the whole 4 days we were there. Just an FYI - you can walk down to the currency exchange in town though.

“ Arrived and was given a nice welcome at the hotel door and shown to the reception area booked in very easy and then shown to our room the cases arrived a little later. We went straight to the bar and were asked to take a seat and the drink brought to us the staff was very friendly from when we arrived until we left. The food is variable and plenty of it we chose different restaurants each night and always found something to eat without a problem even at 23.30. The coffee bar is a coffee persons dream then pancake & donut bar every thing you wanted is avaiable The pools are great but very cold but in Feb what do you expect we went down to the beach and the staff placed the beds where we wanted them placed mattress on them inc our towels with wind breaks. The jetty goes right out to sea and stops just 10m from the reef we went snorkelling with our own equipment and it was fabulous the sea wasn’t cold either.
YES I would go back to this hotel and recommend it to any one

“ The Royal Albatros moderna hotel is not a five star hotel by UK standards ie. the rooms are big but a little drab although VERY clean.
The food is varied in the restaurants and you can always find something to eat but again far from five star uk standards.
Were the hotel does exceed in every way is the brilliant facilities and cleanliness, the staff are always cleaning and very pleasant and during our weeks stay we never saw a single cockroach unlike the Canary island hotels.

“ Top Tip: Not much to do outside the hotel and lots of hastle in the local shops.
The service from Travel republic in arranging the flights , hotel & transfers was excellent as always.
