“ Hotel was lovely. Clean with plenty of entertainment however some of the staff were very rude. Reception staff and waiters were lovely but some of the bar staff I found very rude. Children's entertainment was really good and these staff were brilliant. Food was ok, bit bland but plenty of choices. Other than some bar staff holiday was lovely.
“ Top Tip: Tgi and hard rock cafe.

This said, the hotel staff worked day and night cleaning and maintaining the hotel to an excellent standard. The pool areas are beautiful, you can choose from the relaxation pool, activity pool, heated pool, children's pool, or the water park with slides.
The beach is equally as beautiful with a long pier out to sea to allow you to snorkel around the corals.
There are a variety of restaurants and bars including the beach bar and an endless choice of dishes, which are always swiftly replenished. The hotel is well managed and staffed and it is infact the staff that make this hotel five star.

A little old, a little tired, a little dirty ... certainly not 5 star!
Our room had a very old fashioned, dirty bathroom, often with no hot water & toiletries limited to cheap shampoo & a shower cap. The room itself was also tired & dimly lit with hard beds & linen which never looked fresh & clean despite being changed daily!
Worst of all was the food. Although there are 5 restaurants to choose from in the evening each generally serves similar dishes & the hot-holding trays are not kept at the correct temperature. I chose jacket potatoes on 2 separate occasions & found them too cold to eat even though they had just been brought out from the kitchens. The best food comes from the cooked-to-order stations (pasta, croissants, pizza etc) ... much better.
On the positive side, the coffee bar serves lovely flavoured cappucino, latte & milkshakes, there are fresh doughnuts, pancakes & ice cream every afternoon, the kids' mini disco every evening is wonderful (if only the beach bar surroundings matched) & the animation team do a great job.
The hotel needs a good overhaul in terms of maintenence, safety, cleanliness & hygiene. I had diarrohea for almost the whole 2 weeks we were there & I spoke to several other people who were the same; whilst people will always choose to eat different dishes from each other there is no excuse for food being served cool/cold. I would suggest the hotel forget trying to cook so many dishes & focus on providing a smaller range but well cooked with better quality ingredients.
There is a free shuttle bus into Soho Square each evening at 6.30 (pre-book at reception) ... it takes 15 minutes to get there & is well worth a look. The dancing fountains are a great attraction & there is plenty of shopping.
There are red flags available at reception to stop the pool touts pestering you; without one you are approached constantly throughout the day, with one it goes down to about once per day

Never having been to Egypt, did not know what to expect !
This hotel was superb. the facilities, food, accommodation, pools, gym, spa etc etc were absolutely top class !
The staff were amazingly friendly. so helpful and never without a smile.
Am already looking to re-book.
Cannot find a fault with the resort......!!!
Take English £ to exchange in-country.
Take a bag of £ coins to tip drivers and staff etc. (They are really appreciative of a couple of quid.!)
