Poor

Check-in date:

at best i would give this Hotel 2/3 star because of the service level. very poor.... only a hand full of people were exceptional. But the infrastructure is very nice

Arrival:
on arrival at the hotel the private taxi dropped us off, we had to unload the luggage our self as there was no door man present. we then waited approximately 5 mins in the hope that some one would escort us to the reception and help with luggage, however after 5mins my wife carrying my 13 month daughter walk into the reception and asked for help at which point she was told to go back outside and wait some one will be there shortly.......(Unbelievable).

Check in:
after check in we were then escorted to our room which was on the 5th floor and no lift. from reception was two floors up and had to clime the stairs. (this is a 5star resort and spa with only one lift in the entire hotel, which is not easily accessible).

Room service:
spent £40 GBP on diner which arrived Luke warm and very bland i wouldn't say it was disgusting but maybe if it was hot we would have finished it.
8 nights stay and most of the time we ordered room service the food was just Luke warm other then only one occasion which the food was piping hot.

most of the guys dont speak very English and is a quite difficult communicating.

Ramses restaurant: breakfast
sorry to say but out of all the hotel/resorts we've been to this is by far the worst by any standard. every morning same food very bland. only the fruit juice was nice and the fried egg. also every time we ordered tea it arrived without a tea spoon and had to keep on asking for one ?????

on our 3rd day we went out of the hotel on arriving back to the hotel i was pushing my daughter on her buggy, came to the door again no one there to greet or help.....only to my shock one guy was sitting on the table texting/playing with his mobile phone and did not bother to get up and help with the door......this was just so shocking for a 5* resort.

check out:

the guy that was serving me was actually serving two other people at the same and was quite difficult gaining his attention: very poor

overall the staff are not at all customer focused only a few are exceptional 5* no name a few: Ehsan concierge, Ayman room cleaner, The two big fellas at the Gym, The water sports guys all of then brilliant friendly and kind. one waiter at the palm grill sorry didn't get his name.

Top Tip: I WOULD RECOMMEND THE WATER SPORTS AT THE HOTEL, BRILLIANT GUYS AND SPORTS.

Very Good

Check-in date:

Enjoyed our stay at the Rotana Hotel very much. Greeted in reception with cold drinks and cold flannels and assisted to our rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Large bedrooms leading out to beautiful gardens. Entertainment limited in the evening but a free coach could take you into the nearest busy area about 20 minutes away. Personally I found this area too commercialized. I would certainly like to return to this hotel. It's only 15 minutes from the airport.

Top Tip: There were a few shops near the hotel but the majority of them were empty premises. You had to travel to find restaurants or pubs.

3 years since last visit to Rotana and while the facilities have aged a little and could do with a bit of an update the service and quality have stayed the same .
We stayed Club Rotana which means that you can use a private lounge for breakfast , early evening snacks and canapes and free alcohol between 6 and 8 .Soft drinks all day and free wifi . Rotana has an all inclusive and ultra all inclusive which is a bit complicated at first but still good value when you eventually figure it out . This is a very quiet hotel ,the entertainment animation is purely aimed at the Italian guests in fact they didnt even speak to non Italians and the hotel is very quiet on an evening but is £10 taxi from Naama Bay and £6 froim soho square here there is plenty going on . Lots of Russian and Arab guests .
Good time , nice hotel , weather fantastic

Top Tip: Silk Road restaurant , excellent service , good food
Club Rotana is good feature for a little extra treat
