The hotel was lovely. The food was great in the main restaurant and although we tried the Fayrouz restaurant we did not feel we needed to go to the other restaurants and would only suggest spending the extra money if you desperately want waiter service.
Our room was kept really clean and all the staff were very friendly. Although if you look closely there are areas that could do with some TLC the Ritz still exudes some class. The resort on the whole is far superior to the run down resorts that you do see around on cramped sites.
“ Top Tip: Obelisk Red wine in the restaurant is good and more reasonable that most at 170 Egyptian pounds however there is tax added on to the so works out around £25. You can buy it in the 24/7 shop just outside of the hotel gates for 55 Egyptian pounds.

The hotel staff were very efficient, helpful and happy. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was very quiet but I only went for the sun and got that! There is not a lot of entertainment at night but then if you want that go into Sharm with plenty of bars, casino's etc.
Beach lovely. Sea accessible by pontoon
Food great
Room (garden/pool view) was nice two big beds and tea and coffee but creamer given which is not nice in tea.
The room did not get the sun at all and with low occupancy I am sure they could have put me in another one that did!!

Block 1 - 25 does not get sun in winter!!
Pools cold but it was winter. Although the heated pool nice.

“ The Ritz Carlton was an amazing hotel, the rooms were spacious the grounds were beautiful and well maintained, including the pool and beach area, all the staff were very helpful and polite. the quality of the a la carte restaurants was equal to any major city, I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are on a budget!!
“ Top Tip: There did not seem to be anything within a short walking distance, but you really do not need to leave the hotel unless looking for lively entertainment

The staff at the hotel are very good indeed. they are all friendly, happy to have a conversation and help when they can.
We stayed in the club room, allowing access to the club lounge. This was very much worthwhile, as the quality of service and standard of food and drinks you are offered is excellent.
The only negative with the hotel is the cost of food at the restaurants and bars. They are VERY expensive. However, if you are halfboard, for which the buffet food is above average, you can eat at the restaurants and pay a fixed supplement. This means you can have a very good meal, the food is excellent, for a cost that makes it it good value (as long as you dont order the still expensive drinks).
All in all, the hotel is superb, and a taxi to Naama if you desire, without haggling too much is around £4.

Stretch to a club room, well worth it.
Have a snorkel off the pontoon, excellent range of fish to see.

“ Great staff, consistently helpful and polite. Good food, very nice clean room. All top quality. The only problem we had was that the high speed internet connection went down for a number of days, but this was not the fault of the hotel as the main service router in Sharm el Sheikh had gone down.

Royal Grand Sharm is a classic hotel,a popular choice with the discerning customer.The splendid waterfront and architecture give it a special character. There is a bright and cheery appearance to the hotel giving it a homely feel away from home. The elegance and luxury are remarkable in all rooms. Architecturally, every room in the hotel has a nice view. Although the hotel is in a quite location you can reach the resort centre of Sharm El Sheikh or Naama Bay very easily as there is a shuttle bus to take you there, 3 times a day. Note: Special Offer rooms are run of house, therefore view will be either Garden, Pool or Sea View.
“ This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and it was as good as ever. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The food is good and the location is fantastic. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and improvements have been made since last year suchas widescreen tvs.
