Local tips: The hotel is 12km/7 miles from Sharm El Sheikh Harbour/Port, 6km from city centre, and 10km/6 miles from the bus station. Local attractions include Nabq Managed Resources Protected Area 23km/14 miles, Coloured Canyon, Dahab and Dolphin Bay 35km/22 miles, Mount Moses and St. Catherine's Monastery 143km/89 miles.

Food, drink and entertainment: All inclusive guests staying in the Resort (Green bracelets) have the following choices included in their package: Nefertiti, an international buffet style restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner and Hugo's Grill restaurant for lunch. Bars of choice include Dolphin Bar, Manta Bar, Cascade Bar and La Vista located around the complex. Palms Bar, Full Moon Bar, Kontiki Bar and Hugo's on the Beach are also great alternatives for the all inclusive guests staying in the resort.
All inclusive guests staying in the Hotel (Main Building with blue bracelets) have the following choices included in their package: White Cruiser, an international buffet style restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner and Hugo's Grill restaurant for lunch. Bars of choice include Dolphin Bar, Manta Bar, Cascade Bar and La Vista located around the complex. Palms Bar, Full Moon Bar, Kontiki Bar, Hugo's on the Beach and the Corner Bar in the lobby can also be an excellent choice where all inclusive guests staying in the Hotel (Main Building) can choose to unwind.
The main building offers live entertainment every evening for all guests.
The following are not included in the above mentioned packages: The Tamarind, an Indian restaurant open for dinner and Portofino, an Italian restaurant open for lunch and dinner both located in the Main Building. The hotel itself is fine, great beach and fab dive school. However, evening entertainment is limited to one very poor show, during which there are no refreshments available. Breakfast did not change for the entire week. If you are on an all inclusive, there is very strict limits on where you can use your wristband in the evening, basically in a large temporary looking tent attached to the side of the reception. Seating in this area is limited and on several evenings, we were unable to use the facility for this reason.
The hotel is located a taxi ride from any other outlets and standard taxis are not permitted to pick up or drop off at the hotel, you are encouraged to use the hotel taxi which was around 160 EGP return. This involved having to call the taxi when you wanted to return and wait for them.
We found the bar staff happy and courteous as too the restaurant and housekeeping staff. The reception staff were less helpful.

The service in the hotel was very good, although we did tip them very well. at every meal.
The all inclusive bars were'nt up to much, we preferred the piano bar but you had to pay for this. The food in the main hotel was good for all inclusive, and the italian and indian were also good although you had to pay for these.

Having read previous reviews I booked the hotel and not the resort. The hotel is very good. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The whole resort is huge with so many secret hidden areas and ppols that I only explored about a quarter of it in the week I was there.
Everywhere is very clean and tidy and the service is very (sometimes a little too) attentive. As is often the case in Egypt not all staff are perfectly trained but they are vey willing.
There were very few British guest in the hotel which I prefer because I like to mix with different cultures. However, this may not be to everybodies liking.
