  • Another fantastic holiday at the Sultan Gardens. The management and staff are so warm and friendly, it couldn't have been better. The food was superb as usual and the new House of Spice Indian Restaurant was the jewel in the crown. Thanks to everyone at the Sultan Gardens for making our holiday fantastic, we will be going back soon.

Top Tip: The swimming with dolphin trip was amazing and only fifteen minutes from the hotel. Same with Soho Square where there is no hassling from shop owners.

Very very dated needs total refurbishment, food ok nothing special, hotel could be fab if it was brought up to scratch and some money spent on it. Staff are very helpful and polite

This was our first time in Egypt and we had a fabulous week and would certainly return (even hubby who never goes anywhere twice).
The food was was excellent with a fabulous buffet selection, as well as fresh cooking stations which we found excellent for eggs on a morning sandwiches at lunch and pasta at dinner. Make sure you try the Indian and Italian restaurants they are both excellent (need to be booked)
The staff are fantastic and very friendly every one says hello and nothing is to much trouble, they are a big part of the Sultans Garden atomosphere.
Our room was very comfortable (decor was a little tired) and spotlessly clean and the grounds and gardens are beautifully kept
Quite a few steps down to the beach so may not suit some

Classed as 5 star but probably nearer 4 star in our opinion. Nevertheless it had everything we needed. Room was quite large & comfortable & the food in both restaurants in the main complex was excellent with plenty of choice including themed specials in the evening not to mention the on-site Italian & Indian restaurants that were extremely good if you wanted a change. There was plenty of room for sunbathing around the four very clean pools & the drinks service was second to none once you got to know the barstaf. All in all a fabulous resort in which the staff couldn't do enough for you. Will definately go back again - brilliant.

Top Tip: Wouldn't recommend going anywhere locally by foot at night but take a taxi to Na'ama Bay or Soho Square (bookable in the hotel) which are both good & safe experiences & definately take one or two of the organised trips on offer - not cheap but nevertheless very enjoyable. Snorkelling around the coral reef off the hotel's private beach was a great experience
