“ clean, friendly staff, good location to beach. gym busy at end of day. food good although as only other option was to pay for the Chinese restraunt. When stayed in Eqypt previously did have options to dine at other restraunts on resort albiet could only have 2/3 bookings at these a week, but it was an alternative to the buffett restraunt every day. The evening entertainment was a DJ playing eqyptian music from 7pm till 9.30pm which was very loud, a suggestion would be try alternative music some evenings. Evening entertainment after 9am was poor but what we expected. Could not fault staff or hotel and would rate 4/5 star for food and cleaniness.

“ I thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Sofitel, Agadir which in my opinion was 5* plus hence I chose this hotel, however, whilst the Sofitel, Taba was good it was not 5 *. There is no beach bar and no outside pool bar, just a pool bar inside the Lotus restaurant was very much like a canteen. Food was a bit disappointing as the meat was always overcooked. All staff very attentive, rooms were very good too.
“ Top Tip: Top Tips sadly no. However, I would point out that it was very windy for the first 3 days and back down to the Intercontinental Hotel was more protected as the beach is further away. I prefer the Intercontinental as it is more superior (visited August 2009).

Cannot praise this hotel highly enough. Part of the Sofitel chain with international standards. Booked the holiday independently (not a package) and arranged transfers through the concierge, emails replied to in less than 30 minutes! Staff very attentive, professional and multi-lingual. Highly recommend. Perfect for a relaxing week.
International guests with the Brits in the minority, which to me is very refreshing.
All inclusive food boring after a few days, so use the "dine around" priveledge.
Free shuttle bus again excellent with first class time keeping.
Well worth going 5 star, since neighbouring hotels can be a little "garish".
Would definitely book again at a Sofitel hotel and through Travel Republic.
Travel Republic staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
First Choice Airways - for a 5.5 hour flight, they need to put on larger aircraft. Flight timings good, but comfort level on the flight extremely poor.

Top Tip:
Like many foreigners, had to visit the hotel doctor. Do not listen to the stories about "funny food" - it is actually a combination of extreme heat and air conditioning which leads to an imbalance.
Saw the doctor within 10 minutes on a Friday - the "holy day" and was treated very professionally and promptly. Again cannot praise him highly enough.
