The Three Corners El Wekala Golf Resort Hotel

“ The staff were excellent & the hotel is kept very clean & tidy. The rooms are large. On the food side. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of choice at meal times, so they could do a lot better on this front. Most mornings at breakfast there was only 2 kinds of fruit, which one was always dates (yuk). We think that the hotel was under a third full, but wouldn't like to be there when nearly full, as the main area's are just too small to be able to cope & therefore you may lose the personal touch that we got from the staff while we were there

“ Top Tip: The beach is an enjoyable 15 minute walk downhill from the hotel.We always got the free shuttle back up but you can take it both ways.The village immediately next to the hotel has a large selection of shops & a good choice of restaurants.The friendliness of the people extended beyond the hotel.What a pleasure.

“ We can only describe our holiday at El Wekala as fantastic. Negative reviews always leave you a little concerned before you travel but in this hotel's case, I would pay the negative reviews little weight. It is a very family orientated hotel - Our kids (aged 8 and 12) thoroughly enjoyed theirselves and we'd strongly recommend it to anybody with children of any age.
The hotel is very well run; the Management team are always around and interacting with the guests - they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. I have never seen a General Manager playing in the pool with my kids but it happened here and it was wonderful to witness.
We originally booked a 'quad room' but this was a standard room with a double bed and two single beds squeezed into it. We upgraded to a suite that was like a large one bedroom apartment. The kids had their own space and so did we; it was well worth the extra cost ! The beds were very comfortable (we missed breakfast on at least six mornings out of fourteen !). The bathroom doesn't have a bath but it has a huge shower which is fine.
The choice and quality of food was outstanding by Egyptian standards. The Head Chef took a personal interest in making sure everyone was happy with the food on offer and was very accomodating with special requests! None of us were ill at all and for a change we spent a lot of the time eating salad that we would normally avoid in Egypt. The hotel takes hygiene extremely seriously and has won several awards that promotes confidence !
The main pool is quite large and very clean. There's always something going on to keep you busy if you want it. Alternatively, for those who like to relax, there is ample opportunity for this too. The free transfer to the beach is well worth taking. The beach is quiet and there is another pool there and a beach bar offering free soft drinks and snacks at lunchtime. We'd like to thank the Animation Team and for making our holiday so special !
The evening entertainment way exceeded the usual Egyptian standards. The kids had a fabulous time every evening and the entertainment is generally clean interactive fun. If you don't want to join in, you don't have to.
We made great friends with people from Belgium, France, Poland and the Czech Republic. There was a lovely atmosphere. The staff and entertainment team help to gel everyone together.
The hotel is set in unique surroundings with a fantastic view over the Gulf of Aqaba and Saudi Arabia. We would like to thank all the Management and staff for making our stay so very special. We will certainly be coming back sometime soon !!
