This is a great hotel and very easy to get to using public transport. I arrived at Helsinki airport and took the Finnair Citybus to the Central Station for €6.20. From there it was a two minute walk to the tram stop outside the Stockmann department store from where you can catch the number 4 tram to the hotel. The tram runs every 10 minutes during the day and takes less about 8 minutes to get to the hotel, dropping you off right outside the front gate.
This was a spotlessly clean hotel with modern rooms and friendly staff and I had an enjoyable stay here. The area is upmarket residential and therefore felt safe even late at night.
Highly recommended for all types of traveller.

Top Tip:
There's a great little bar called "Poseidon" situated about a 5 minute walk from the hotel in the direction of the city centre. Open until 2am of a weekend.
There is s K Mart supermarket less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel which is open until 9pm.
The famous "Belle Vue" restaurant [one of Marshall Mannerheim's favourite eating places] is also a five minute walk from the hotel.
Marshall Mannerheim?? As you'll notice when you're there, so many things in Finland - from streets to dishes on menus - are named after Mannerheim that you really should take the time to visit the Mannerheim Museum which is situated in the great man's house. Mannerheim 'made' modern Finland and no trip to Helsinki would be complete without learning a little about him.
If you like military history then I'd also recommend you take the time to visit the Winter War Exhibition at the Military Museum where you can learn all about the war they call "The Finnish Miracle".
Also make sure you have a drink in the cafe Kappelli which is situated at the bottom end of the Esplanadii about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. A Helsinki institution for over a hundred years, it's a great place for people watching.
