The single room was roomier than expected, with a comfortable bed and a window to the car park.
The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, and the hotel offers a few "extras" that came in handy: earplugs, special pillows etc.
However... my biggest disappointment for a hotel of this standard was the breakfast room: a dark, gloomy cellar that left you depreseed for the entire day.
“ Top Tip: The great Finnish filmmaker Aki Kaurismaki runs a bar (well, two bars, a nightclub and a cinema) which can be found within spitting distance of Linna Hotel. The Moscow and Corona Bar, and the Dubrovnik club below, are definitely worth a visit - whether for the Soviet glam decor, the pool tables or simply because they seem to be favoured by a very interesting, arty crowd.

“ Hotel was excellent, though not the hotel I booked ! Hotel Linna was full due to a booking area so i was sent off to a partner hotel, via paid for taxi, which turned out to be just as great for the same price. Staff excellent throughout my trip, helpful, professional and courteous.
“ Top Tip: Go to Suomenlinna, hire a bike and cycle round helsinki's coastline.
