“ Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Good bedding, towels, toiletries. Leisure facilities available. Breakfast is plentiful with a good choice but cooked options lacked any taste.

“ Superbly appointed apartment with all home comforts and some! Terrific location close to all Durham has to offer. The owner provided a welcome pack, whihc was very welcome after a long drive. I would strongly recommend this penthouse gem.

“ Stay was fine no parking facilities. Manager and staff great especially manager and young lady at lunch time. Bedroom very clean tidy. Lovely clean crisp bedding. Negative point as friend is gluten free although I had contacted tgw hotel prior to going there was no alternative on menu they could offer so I felt I had let her down. Steak was great

“ We arrived during a busy time - a wedding at the hotel and the Durham Christmas weekend. Reception had long queues and there were initial problems over our room. However, these were satisfactorily resolved.
