Although the hotel is in a "quiet" location, it depends where you room is. If you get a room facing on to the street, it is actually quite noisy with cars, motorscooters and people having parties etc, right under/outside your window. No air con, so stuffy in summer and you have to open the window to keep vaguely cool. Don't go there in summer if you can't sleep in high temperatures or with steet noise: must be much better in winter. Location is good for central Bordeaux starting from the Hotel de Ville area. Tram stop nearby. You can see all of Bordeaux by using the 3 main tram lines and a 5/10 trip ticket available at tabacs everywhere.
On the good side, reception very friendly and helpful. Self-catering facilities very useful if you are watching expenses. Furnishings and beds very reasonable for 2* category. What this hotel needs to do is to instal air con ASAP.
“ Top Tip: There is a really excellent, friendly local French restaurant on the corner of the block (turn right as you come out of main entrance). Madame the proprieter is incredibly welcoming and the fixed "formule" menus are very good value.

More of an apartment than hotel room in that it had a kitchenette included - excellent for saving money on meals or for chilling wine.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Room cleaned and sheets/towels daily.
The room came with bed, bathroom (shower and toilet), TV, kitchen (microwave, electric hob, fridge, sink, cutlery). Had heating but no air conditioning or fan. Also had clothes storage with hangers, table, chairs.
Great budget hotel all in all.
“ Top Tip: In the middle of a very quiet area so only a few restaurants/bars within reasonable walking distance.

The hotel was very nice, friendly staff, nice outdoor pool, clean rooms. However, my only complaints would be the shower/bath was very small and it was hard to keep the bathroom dry after a shower, and the shower holder at the top didnt work so we had to always hold the shower head. The kitchenette was good but we didn't have anything to wash up with so had to buy that ourselves and there was no oil or anything to fry or cook in which we didn't expect.
It wasn't as close to the centre as we'd have hoped but there is a very good tram service just a 5 minute walk.
“ Top Tip: Our favourite restaurant had to be Restaurant du Loup, the food was amazing and with the set menu the price was very reasonable!
