Champlain Hotel

“ The hotel was a 10 minute walk from Saint Lazare train station which is easily accessible from CDG airport. Don't be shocked by the homeless people around as they are everywhere in Paris.

All sightseeing locations are within walking or cycling distance, or €9 in a taxi to the Eiffel Tower. There is also a Metro station at the top of the road called "Rome" and each journey only costs €1.70.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. The lift could do with updating as only 2 people could fit in there!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and although (very) slightly out of they way, we enjoyed the walks and we found the food to be nicer further out of the main areas.

Would definitely stay here again.

“ amazing find, its a perfect pad to retreat too, very close to rome metro line and st lazare, 40minute walk to arc de triumph, and place de concorde is a short walk away as is the amazing sacre couer, monmarte and moulin rouge, or hop on the metro and be anywhere in minutes. The area is packed with cool parisien restaurants, and cafes, and a market. Rue de Rome is also a violinists/cello delight as there are many many luthiers dotted along the road down to st lazare station, where you can see in the window the craftsmen and women at work, a hot spot for musicians!! The hotel staff are all wonderful and friendly and were incredibly helpful, id definatly stay again.

“ A small hotel, close to the metro at 'Rome' and an easy walk to sights such as Sacre Cour and Montemarte. Very clean and was just how it 'looked' on the website. Staff very friendly. We stayed for 4 nights but did not try the breakfast. Would visit again.
