Pullman Paris Montparnasse

super breakfast and family room with 2 double beds comfy and spacious for 4 of us. wouldn't have minded a tea making facility in room though ,after paying £190 for the room per night!

“ The lobby area of the hotel was smart and we were checked in swiftly, although we were not advised prior to arrival that they would put a £250 hold on our credit card in case of room damage.
Our room appeared, on first inspection, to be tidy however there were numerous stain marks on the carpets. I thought the room was of a decent size for our family of 4, the linens were clean and fresh. We had a mini bar (which we didn;t use because it was so expensive) but was useful for putting our water in to keep it cool. The bathroom was the biggest disapointment though. It was bright orange, the floor and the bath tiles was dirty. A dirty mark on the side of the bidet remained there throughout our 3 night stay. Not the standard I expected from this type of hotel and it is well overdue for a refurb.
We had booked a package with buffet breakfast included - there was clearly not enough staff on duty, we waited for long periods for our hot drinks and the tables were not cleared. But, if you were happy to sit amongst dirty plates, there was a vast array of pastries, cold meats, eggs and bacon, juices etc. - all of which were of high quality - it was just a shame that it was spoiled by the lack of service.
Enough of the negatives though! The location we found was very good - straight opposite the Gard Montparnasse where we could get to the rest of Paris very quickly and easily. There were many restaurants of a wide variety close by (albeit interspaced between an equally large number of sex shops too!)

“ Top Tip: This hotel is only 5 minutes walk from Montparnasse 59 where you can take a lift to the top and see Paris in 360 degrees. Would recommend going in the evening to see paris by night, especially the lightshow on the Eiffel Tower.

“ Top Tip: Yes, Tour Montparnasse(Tower) just a block away, Go in the evening to the restaurant
Le Ceil Montparnasse on the 56th Floor - use the express lift(free) and have drinks/cocktails and take in the view. At 10:00 pm exactly, the Eiffel tower lights up for 5 minutes - Completes the stay !!
