welcoming and exceptionally well located. The downstairs decor was in contrast with the more dated appearance of the rooms . Room was compact but comfortable. External noise was minimal but the banging of interior doors was an irritant.
Breakfast was typical of continental hotels but more than adequate.

“ The hotel was a mix of the comments we had read before going. It is not the queitest hotel, the Rue des Ecoles is a main road through the city, there is noise when other rooms flush the toilet or use the shower and the doors banging shut, the room was not spacious but clean and serviced each day . The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was ok with a choice of cereal, crouissants, meat and cheese, yoghurts etc which would cost 8 to 10 Euros in the nearby cafes. The hotel is probably a good ten minute walk to the Seine, fifteen to Notre Dame and twenty to the Louvre, only two minutes to the Pantheon. Perhaps would look for a quieter location next time but will have to pay more no doubt.
“ Top Tip: A short walk of 5 mins to the Rue De La Harpe provides 20 to 30 restaurants with a wide variety of cusines ranging from 10 to 25Euros for a set menu. Starter, main and sweet for 15Euros was excellent value.

“ Hotel was very conveniently situated, 5-10 minutes walk from bars, shops and entertainment. Some nice restaurants and nearest metro 2 3 minutes walk. Room was comfortable enough albeit a bit small. Breakfast had a comprehensive choice.

“ This recently modernised hotel offered everything I needed in a straightforward way. The room was comfortable, the breakfast area welcoming and stylish with a good choice. The room was comfortable, if small, like most Paris hotels. I am definitely a Left Bank person and the position of this hotel, near the Pantheon, University, Musee Cluny and in easy walking distacne of the IUsle de la Cite and two good markets was very convenient.
“ Top Tip: Round the corner, only about 200 metres away, is the interesting small church of St Ephraim (Syriac) where there were frequent classical concerts by young musicians - mostly solo recitals - of a very high quality in a splendid small space creating a great atmosphere.
