“ Brilliant hotel, great friendly staff, clean, bright room.
“ Top Tip: Walk from the Montparnasse Metro through to Montparnasse Vaugirad Station to avoid the rain! The Air France shuttle takes you from CDG to within 5 mins walk of the hotel.

“ I was disapointed with this hotel. The room was booked for 3 people but was very small. The toilet cubicle had no wash basin and the bathroom was not even by the toilet but down the room corridor - not hygenic. Also the bed springs were coming through the mattress and dug in when trying to sleep. I complained to the staff at reception who said they had no other room and housekeeping had gone home. I insisted someone came and looked at the bed and a staff member came and looked at the bed and laughed when I showed him the bed springs, he then gave me some extra duvets to put on top of the mattress. I told him this was not a the quality of a four star hotel and he agreed.

Excellent breakfast. Comfortable, clean rooms. Small fridge in room and free wifi. No noise despite being next to railway. You need your room card key to operate the lift to go up - insert it in the slot below the floor buttons inside the lift or you won't go anywhere - a security measure.
Best metro stop - Pasteur as Montparnasse is a rabbit warren and easy to get lost.

Top Tip:
Excellent French restaurants located within 1km walk 'Grand le Pan' very popular so need to book they only do 2 sittings. Small but worth it. Ask for veg/potatoes/chips or you will just get the meat with some dishes.
La Cantine du Troquet again excellent food - ask for veg. Get there 8/9pm or be prepared to wait over an hour at very cramped bar and miss out on amazing desserts as they sold out - still worth the wait!
Italian restaurant - Swann et Vincent excellent food - with veg if you ask.

hotel was fantastic, staff were very helpful and location just ultimate you can't get better than this 4* with cheapo price very nice quality bathroom fittings and most enjoyable was buffet breakfast. ONE ONLY negative point is Gare montparnasse rail line next to the building its quite noisy..but nice glazing throughout happy to go again
