“ The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the main railway and metro stations. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff were very helpful. It was our anniversary and the manager recomended a local resturante and booked us a table. His recommendation was 1st class and we had to go back for more. It only takes around 10 mins on the metro to get to the main attractions.9.0 Magnificent

“ Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooms were ideal and cleaned very well as well as there being a secure safe and fan provided. The area is perfect for visiting the sights around paris close to the metro, bars, restaurants and shops. Breakfast was ideal for grabbing a bit to eat before heading out. The soft hotel is ideal.8.0 Great

“ Top Tip: Les Enfants Perdus is just round the corner and offers some fantastic food and wine. It's not over cheap at around 50Euros a head for 2 or 3 courses with a bottle of wine, but i think it's money well spent.

“ The hotel was very compact. The room was small with no air conditioning. I asked for a quiet room and ours was onto the street where there was a busy bar. The decor was rather tired for example the bathroom radiator was rusty. We were advised there was parking and there was, in a car park round the corner which had closed circuit TV and all night surveillance but it cost an extra 24euros a day.The breakfast on the other hand was a very good continental style selection, the receptionists were helpful but it took far more than 5 minutes to reach Place de Republic, more like 15 at a good pace. Overall I was disappointed as it was a poor end to our holiday.
“ Top Tip: Use the Metro!

“ Excellent little hotel. Very good value for money, courteous and very helpful staff.Good location to overground and Metro. Easy reach to resturants, looking forward to staying there on next visit to Paris. Highly recommended.
“ Top Tip: Very good location, very cosy for two especially if on a budget.

Location: Good location with quite a bohemian feel, two minutes walk from St Martin's Canal which has plenty places to choose from for eating and drinking (substantially cheaper than the city centre with a more chilled feel). Based in the 10th arrondissement of Paris it is a five minute walk from the Gare de l'Est train station so very conveinient for the metro (you can reach most places of interest within minutes).
Hotel & Room: Hotel is very compact and bijou, and the rooms are very small. On the plus side our room was very clean with modern decor, comy bed and included a fridge/mini bar and hairdryer. Unfortunately the rooms have no air conditioning which made it uncomfortable in the hight of summer (I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem in other seasons) although they do have electric fans.
Food: Breakfast consisted of fresh orange juice, a selection of teas to choose from and coffee (the coffee was lovely!), there was a choice of white or brown sliced bread for taosting as well as a selection of croissants, jams, marmalades, apple compote, butter, sliced ham, sliced cheese, camembert, fresh fruit, fruit cocktail and cornflakes. I had absolutely no complaints about the breakfast!
Overall: I would definitely stay at this hotel again, good value for money in comparison to similar hotels nearer the city centre and well placed to explore Paris!
Take a trip to the Montmarte and Sacré Coeur and there you will find, quite simply, the most beautiful panoramic view of the French capital to be had, I imagine watching the sunrise would be particularly special if you can get up early enough which we didn't manage!
Directions: From Hotel

Instead of taking the Funiculaire/cable car up to montmatre walk up the steps and then reward yourself with a nice cold drink at the Irish bar situated at the top best pint of magners I've ever had!, the service was great and the craic was good! Whilst at Montmarte visit to the compact and bijoe museum of Montmatre is well worth it, where you can access the only remaining vieyard in Paris, literally walk into a Renoir Painting (gardens have been restored identically to his paintings), and learn all about the Chat du Noir, Moulin Rouge and the performers and artists who frequented them. An inspiration to painters such as Pissarro, Toulouse-Lautrec, Modigliani and Picasso, Montmarte is full of quaint nooks and crannies, each a picture postcard of old Paris: street painters, strolling artists, bistros, cafés with their outdoor tables, cabarets and restaurants, all so typically Parisian. typically you will pay about 8 Euros for a beer here so if you're looking after the pennies there is an excellent little delicatessen at the artists quarter where you can buy a cold "takeaway beer" for 3 Euros as well as everything you would need for the perfect picnic at reasonable prices (their quiche was excellent!) we had a picnic at the gardens located at the foot of the Sacré Coeur with phenomenal views over the city!
